Rhetoric What is it?

Rhetoric is the study and art of writing and speaking well, being
persuasive, and knowing how to compose successful writing and
presentations.

Tone is the attitude of a writer
toward a subject

Building ethos: sounding reasonable, acknowledging other opinions, or being thoughtful/ well
informed
Important because audience would more likely listen to someone who is qualified and shares an

Pathos is usually very emotional in order to be able to convince someone
