Flexible Robotic Welding

Systems
BAUROMAT
HiArc and HiSpot Systems Overview
Bauromat have designed and developed a complete range of high quality robot welding cells. We believe robot systems should not
only be reliable, flexible and cost effective, but also look good ,as they demonstrate your companies commitment to quality when
customers are visiting your facility.
Our developments have included our own extrusions to lower costs and make guarding assembly easier, Universal control
packages to integrate any robot and a range of positioners that have a proven track record of strength and reliability using the best
components. Our partnership with leading suppliers allows us to offer complete packages at competitive pricing.

Why use an integrator and not the robot manufacturer

Robot manufactures are good at what they do make robots but they make robots for all applications. Very few robot companies
design in house and hold the knowledge to fixture design and the welding process. At Bauromat we design fixtures, conduct in
house welding trials and also have a weld laboratory for verifying safety critical welds all of which is backed up by our in house
training and service department.
HiArc Mig/Plasma Welding Cells
The HiArc series cells are available in many configuration below are the five most popular standard configurations.
The standard series have five more basic configurations including shuttle systems and gantry systems for large components.

HiArc 50 and 100 Series

This series of robot cells are based on one (HiArc 50) or two (HiArc 100)
operator load stations with static work tables.

Cells are available in various configurations and options.

Cell format: Flat front or V format (45 or 90 angles).

Operator stations are protected by manual or powered doors
or electric roller door.
Pallet based for easy installation.
Integrated fume hood with cell lighting.

HiArc 200 Series

This series of cells are based on turntables with various payloads and
designs. All systems feature the Kyrus T and TR range of positioners with
high accuracy locking systems.

Turn table options of manual, semi automatic and powered.

Flat table or servo tooling rotation versions.
Loads from 150 kg up to 5000 kg per side.
Operator stations are protected by light guards, powered doors or
electric roller door.
Single or multi robot system options.
Integrated fume hood with cell lighting.
Pallet base or floor standing options.

HiArc 300 Series

This series of cells are based on the Kyrus F series range of ferris wheel
positioners. With all the drives servo controlled this offers greater tooling
flexibility when rotating the positioner and better cycle times.

The modular design of the ferris allows it to be configured to suit the

customers.

Individual requirements. and can be easily adapted for future changes.

Loads from 150 kg up to 1000 kg per side.

Face plate centres to 6 metres.
Robot stands lock to positioner frame for added rigidity and accuracy.
Single or multi robot options.
Operator stations are protected by light guards, or electric roller door.
HiArc 400 Series
This series is based on Kyrus CMT range of centre mount turntables.
This concept has many advantages over conventional turntable systems and Ferris
wheel systems. As the robot shares the same arc as the positioner, the working
envelope of the robot is better utilized.

Programming is easier and safer as the fixtures are easily accessible with the robots
clear of the robot programmer. Cell design also allows for the use of four robots if
required to increase output with minimal increase in floor space.

Loads from 150 kg up to 1000 kg per side.

Face plate centres up to 4.5 metres.
Swing diameters up to 2.2 metres.
Single or twin robots mounts and robots up to 30 kg capacity.
Operator stations are protected by light guards, or electric roller door.

HiArc 500 Series

This series are based on the Kyrus HT range twin head and tail stock positioners
(trunions).

Ideal for when two separate components are being welded making part logistics
easier. The cells compact footprint makes it ideal for the smaller work shop.

Cell format - Flat front or V format in 45 or 90 angles.

Operator stations - Manual doors, powered doors or electric roller door.
Pallet based for easy installation.
Integrated fume hood with cell lighting.
Loads from 150 kg up to 1000 kg.

HiSpot Resistance Welding Cells

The HiSpot series cells are available in many configurations below are the two most popular standard configurations.
Most cells are available as in the HiArc layouts or in bespoke configuration.

HiSpot 1000 Series

This series of cells are similar to the HiArc 100 series using twin operator stations
and static load tables.

Ideal for when two separate components are being welded making part logistics
easier and smaller products.

Cell format in flat front or V format (45 or 90 angles).

Pallet based or floor standing guard options.
Operator stations Manual or powered door, or electric roller door or light
guards.

HiSpot 2000 Series

This series are based on the Kyrus T and TR series of positioners as in the
HiArc 200 systems.

Turn table options of manual, semi automatic and powered.

Flat table or servo rotation versions.
Loads from 150 kg up to 5000 kg per side.
Operator stations: Light guards, powered doors or electric roller door.
Single or multi robot options.
Pallet base or floor standing options.
Bespoke Welding Solutions
If a standard configuration is not the right solution for you,we can design a bespoke system to suit
your product and production requirements.

From single custom cells to complex multi robot systems with component handling and part logistics
control, we will offer a complete process study and time cycle calculations to ensure the correct
solution is offered. Advanced PLC controls with remote diagnostics can be installed with statistical
analysis reporting available.

Systems can be adapted to suit individual company standards mechanically and electrically.

Welding Fixtures
The success of any robot welding project is more than just the robot cell.

The fixtures are the key element to the production process, with years of
experience in manufacturing robot welding fixtures for all industries and using
latest 3D CAD packages and simulation software we can ensure the fixtures and
the process is right before metal is cut.

In house inspection is used to set fixtures to CAD data to ensure correct geometry.

Robots the right choice

All cells are designed to accept any of the leading brands of robot. All modern robots are capable of
welding. We can offer ABB, Motoman, Kawasaki, Fanuc and KUKA and most others makes can be
integrated. We offer impartial advice on selection, looking at the right choice for your requirements
and cost of ownership.
For lower cost cells re-conditioned robots can be integrated with flexible warranties offered.

Positioners
Most welding projects require the components to be repositioned during process for access and the correct welding orientation.
We use the extensive Kyrus range of positioners to build the right solutions. (Examples below, see Kyrus brochure for full range).

Welding Equipment
We use leading brand controls and equipment, using the latest technology and offering process reliability. All of this is supported
by a global network.
