DESCRIPCIN DE LA ASIGNATURA
La asignatura de Ingls 8, requiere que el estudiante domine y comprenda el idioma ingls
desarrollando las competencias lingsticas que le permitan comprender ideas principales de
textos complejos, leer sobre la importancia de colocar informacin apropiada y correcta en
las redes sociales, escuchar puntos de vista sobre el impacto de los medios de comunicacin,
dialogar sobre el campo laboral, participar en una entrevista de trabajo, contar historias de su niez
con un grado suficiente de fluidez y naturalidad, escribir guiones, ensayos y artculos en forma clara y
detallada acerca temas de inters mundial, el futuro en la economa y la tecnologa.

OBJETIVO GENERAL DE LA ASIGNATURA O MDULO

Al finalizar el Nivel 8, Nivel B2 del Marco Comn Europeo de Referencia para las Lenguas:

principales de textos complejos que traten de temas tanto concretos como abstractos, incluso
si son de carcter tcnico siempre que estn dentro de su campo de especializacin. Podr
relacionarse con hablantes nativos con un grado suficiente de fluidez y naturalidad de modo
que la comunicacin se realice sin esfuerzo por parte de ninguno de los interlocutores. Podr
producir textos claros y detallados sobre temas diversos as como defender un punto de vista
sobre temas generales indicando los pros y los contras de las distintas opciones.

Alumno de la UTE. Demostrar puntualidad, asistencia regular a clase y participacin activa en

todas las actividades acadmicas dispuestas por el docente, sin que medie justificacin alguna
para alcanzar los objetivos propuestos.

Es necesario fomentar el respeto al docente, a los compaeros, autoridades y bienes de la

Universidad. Queda absolutamente prohibido el comportamiento antitico en el proceso de
enseanza aprendizaje y procesos de evaluacin, se sancionar la deshonestidad acadmica
(copia, trampa, fraude). Es necesario incluir la bibliografa, citas y referencias de fuentes
consultadas en trabajos realizados, con el fin de no incurrir en actividades de plagio.

Durante el periodo de evaluaciones escritas, no se permitir a los estudiantes el ingreso de

mochilas, bolsos, telfonos celulares ni ningn otro dispositivo electrnico a los laboratorios .
El uso de los dispositivos electrnicos en la clase debe ser nicamente con fines educativos.

RECURSOS

La enseanza de ingls general como lengua extranjera en el Instituto de Idiomas, con el

objetivo de que sus estudiantes alcancen el nivel B2 del MCER, se lo realizar a travs del texto
VIEWPOINT 1A y el uso de la Plataforma virtual Cambridge LMS. Adems, se utilizarn los
laboratorios multimedia y las aulas equipadas, existentes en el Instituto, a disposicin de
estudiantes y docentes que facilitan el desarrollo de las TICs.

La consolidacin de un idioma extranjero requiere la utilizacin de material de audio y video,

material adicional de lectura y escucha, ejercicios de gramtica y vocabulario. Adicionalmente,
se considera indispensable el apoyo al estudiante que necesite elevar sus rendimiento
acadmico y mejorar el manejo del idioma a travs de la tutora que se brindar en diferentes
horarios.

EVALUACIN
El sistema de evaluacin que se presenta a continuacin, busca mejorar el rendimiento
acadmico de los y las estudiantes, considerando evaluaciones parciales y una evaluacin
final, enmarcada en los parmetros internacionales. En ese sentido, se eliminan las
exoneraciones, de tal manera que el examen final ser aplicado sin excepciones.

USO DEL IDIOMA, TAREAS DE LECTURA y ACTIVIDADES EN CLASE: 15 %
Lecciones, participacin activa y permanente, trabajo individual
y en grupo, pruebas de unidad.
PRODUCCIN E INTERACCIN ORAL: Exposiciones orales, 20 %
dilogos, presentaciones.
