The Differences Culture between Germany and Indonesia

There are many things that make Germany and Indonesia are different. About two weeks
ago, I interviewed people from German. His name is Markus smullert, He compared cultures in
Germany and Indonesia. He talk about food and clothes in here and his country. He is
comfortable live in Indonesia, although he has different cultures with Indonesia.

The biggest differences of culture between Germany and Indonesia are the food and
clothes. The people in German have main food is bread. People there are rarely eat rice, and they
refer to eat bread. The taste of Indonesian food is quiet strong than in Germany. In Germany has
3 steps to eat their appetizer, main course, and dessert. The appetizer of the food there sometimes
eat soup or small bread. The main course is normally some of meat maybe rice, potato or
vegetable. The dessert is normally something sweet such as ice cream or some kinds of pudding
and sometimes cookies and fruits. The people there also have some rules, in general they use the
knife in right side of the plate and the fork in the left side and then like kind of tissue that you
can use in washing machine on the right side band the spoon also on the right of the knife.
Otherwise, in Indonesian there is no step to have meal like in Germany. And Indonesian people
does not have tool to eat like in western but it is similar with eastern culture that they eat using
their hand.

The second is about clothes. The clothes in Germany and Indonesia are very different.
Indonesian people wear the same clothes in different seasons they do not change their style
clothes and special for women using veil. He said Indonesian people wear veil because its one
rule in Islam. While in Germany, they wear clothes different clothes in different seasons. In there
if summer they wear the shortly clothes, and in the winter wear coat. Indonesian people wear the
same clothes in different seasons and Germany wear the different clothes in the different seasons.

Germany and Indonesia have many different about the culture, such as food and clothes
that can differentiate between western and Asian culture. As we know that Asian culture is
consist a lot of tribe, language and custom.
