SUMMARY
2 years experience as project engineer. Mechanical Engineer with a Masters degree in Energy and Process Engineering.I am
proficient with calculations and data analysis using knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics and rotordynamics, such as
developing an analytical tool to predict rotordynamic performance of thrust bearings, sizing of flowmeters and valves according
to API standards, development of analytical tools for balance pistons and control fluid orifices using Matlab and Excel, selection
of pumps and compressors, and interpretation of P&IDs and PFDs.
COMPUTER SKILLS
MS Office | Fortran | Matlab | XLTRC2 | MathCAD | Autodesk Inventor | AutoCad 2D & 3D | ANSYS Fluent | ANSYS |
Solidworks | Python | Modelica | PRO-II | Aspen-HYSYS | TeamCenter | CATMAN EASY | SAP2000
EXPERIENCE
In charged of coordinating services, preventive and corrective maintenance of rack and pinion hoist and lifts.
Developed and proposed studies on different pump systems for the proposal-phase of the Project, choosing pumps and
configurations in terms of risk, production losses, power consumption and cost, hence satisfying the client.
Designed valves and flowmeters according to API standards using production and critical operation points, contributing
to the on-time delivery of pump systems.
Evaluated wear rings and balance pistons functionality by performing rotordynamic analyses in different scenarios,
saving time and resources that could have been spent in CFD simulations.
Testing of new products (cameras, detectors, access controllers, vehicle barriers, etc).
Writing of installation manuals.
Reviewing of product installation.
Courses in use of products and installation
ACHIEVEMENTS
1. Created the first ever analytical tool done to predict the rotordynamic performance of thrust bearings, saving time and
resources otherwise invested on CFD analyses.
2. Developed analytical tools for estimating cavitation in control fluid systems orifices and designing orifice systems in
terms of size, number and distribution, optimizing design and operation
3. Proposed strategies for predicting the performance of wet gas compressors based on past researches on performance
losses, saving time and resources.
4. Developed an analytical tool for preventing sand particles inside balance pistons and evaluated different scenarios,
optimizing the design of balance pistons, convincing the client of the robustness of the products and reducing in 95% the
money and time spent otherwise in CFD analyses.
SOME RECOMMENDATIONS
David actually enjoys difficult challenges and working hard, Throughout his assignment David proved to be a very
which in my opinion is a rare trait. He does not take lightly to cooperative and highly reliable engineer with unique
missing deadlines and does everything in in power to deliver resourceful and adaptive mindset. Carlo Mazzali | Principal
