A. Course Objectives:
After completion of the course, the students will acquire the engineering-science knowledge of fluid mechanics
needed to:
Purse many mechanical engineering courses, especially those courses in thermal engineering stream
Understand the principle of operation of lifting bodies like aircraft wings, blades of turbo machines,
and the like
Identify, formulate and solve engineering problems involving compressible fluid flows
Understand the principles of operation of flow measuring instruments, evaluate the data and draw
conclusions
