II. DESCRIPCIN DE LA ASIGNATURA

El conocer un idioma nos permite incrementar nuestro bagaje cultural,

ampliar nuevos horizontes, acceder a otras fuentes de informacin, obtener
mejores puestos de trabajo.

El curso de Ingls est destinado a asegurar el dominio del Ingls tanto

escrito como oral conociendo su estructura y funcionamiento.

Ingls VIII involucra el desarrollo de la comprensin de mensajes escritos y

orales y enfatiza la correcta produccin de los mismos, incorporando el
estudio de los aspectos estructurales necesarios para tal fin a un Nivel Pre-
intermedio de ingls (pre-intermediate English level).
III. OBJETIVOS GENERALES

Al finalizar el semestre el alumno ser capaz de:

1. Valorar la riqueza del idioma ingls como herramienta til en su

vida cotidiana y para su carrera profesional.

2. Asumir un comportamiento prctico frente al uso del idioma

ingls.

3. Desenvolverse en situaciones comunicativas a un nivel pre-

intermedio de ingls, comprensin oral y escrita.

4. Manejar un vocabulario de nivel pre-intermedio.

OBJETIVOS ESPECFICOS

1. Acting out dialogues in the pre-intermediate spoken language

2. Talking about the past using the present perfect and the past
simple in the pre-intermediate spoken language.

3. Talking about possible plans for the weekend in the pre-

intermediate spoken language.

4. Giving opinions with appropriate adjectives, agreeing or

disagreeing.

5. Making polite requests in the pre-intermediate spoken language.

6. Talking about jobs in the pre-intermediate spoken language.

7. Writing a profile of the family and the jobs they do in the pre-
intermediate spoken language.

8. Making a hotel reservation by telephone in the pre-intermediate

English language.

IV. METODOLOGA

El profesor har la presentacin introductoria del curso y del Slabo

propiamente dicho. El profesor promover el dilogo constante con los
alumnos para ayudar a que fijen y profundicen mejor los conocimientos que
vayan adquiriendo.
 En todo momento resaltar la importancia y necesidad de su participacin
espontnea en el curso y que no slo deben conocer, sino profundizar los
diferentes temas tratados.

Se combinarn los siguientes elementos:

- Exposicin-dilogo

- Induccin, deduccin, correlacin, organizacin, clasificacin y

socializacin.

- Ejercicios individuales, en pares y/o grupales de aplicacin.

- Participacin activa de los alumnos en intervenciones orales.

- Role play de dilogos utilizando diversas situaciones.

- Investigacin de un tema especfico para hacer un trabajo en

clase utilizando Internet.

- Asesoras.

V. EVALUACIN

La evaluacin del curso es continua y permanente a travs de las

herramientas de este artculo y la participacin de cada alumno.

El reglamento vigente de la universidad exige la asistencia obligatoria a

clases y que el profesor pase lista en cada clase que dicta, anotando las
inasistencias en el registro que proporciona la universidad.

Para el promedio final se tomar en cuenta seis (6) notas con los siguientes
porcentajes:

Asistencia: 2.5%
Los alumnos que presenten el 30% de inasistencias
(5 faltas injustificas) no podrn seguir llevando el
curso ni ser evaluados y el alumno pasa a la
condicin de inhabilitado, siendo su nota final NSP.

Oral : 20%
Se tendr en cuenta las intervenciones orales en
clase y en la pizarra, role play de los dilogos y el
Oral Speech.
 Prcticas y Quizzes : 20%
Se les tomar tres Quizzes (1 de verbos y 2 de
grammar) y las dos Prcticas Calificadas
programadas por la facultad

Trabajos: 17.5%
Se pondr nota a las tareas del libro (projects) y
compositions.

Exmenes:
Se tomar un Examen Parcial a la mitad del ciclo y
un Examen Final al finalizar el ciclo.

Examen Parcial : 20%

Examen Final : 20%
Total : 100%

El examen sustitutorio (ES), ser tomado en la semana 18ava. del ciclo y

consiste en la evaluacin terico-prctica de conocimientos de todo el
curso. La evaluacin ser escrita.

La nota obtenida en el examen sustitutorio, podr reemplazar la nota ms

baja que el alumno haya obtenido en su examen parcial o en el examen
final y de proceder el reemplazo, se recalcular la nueva nota final.

En caso de que la nota del examen sustitutorio sea menor que la nota del
examen parcial o del examen final, no se reemplazar ninguna de ellas,
quedando el alumno con la nota obtenida hasta antes del examen
sustitutorio.

Es de total aplicacin el Reglamento Transitorio de Evaluacin de la

Universidad entregado al alumno.

La asistencia a clases y prcticas es obligatoria. No podr sobrepasarse el

30% de inasistencias, para tener derecho a evaluacin.

Role play. Listening. Comprehension. Ask and answer in the
present perfect. Reading comprehension. Talk about schools in
Peru. Write a paragraph about schools in Peru. Grammar exercises.

SEMANA 3:

Unit 4-5: (p. 54-57)

Students evaluate themselves: Grammar check, Just for Fun, How
good are you? Vocabulary about farms and farm animals. Review
prepositions. Grammar exercises.

SEMANA 4:

Unit 5: (p. 58-60)

Dialogue. If clauses: Zero conditional with if + present simple
tense. First conditional with if + present simple tense, followed by
will + infinitive. Dialogue. Grammar exercises.

SEMANA 5:

Role Play dialogue. Question tags: with affirmative statement use a
negative question tag, with negative statement use an affirmative
