ABOUT US
U.S.S. Engineering (Pvt) Ltd. was established in 1980
at Ganemulla, in the Western Province of Sri Lanka, with
the objective of catering for the expanding opportunities in
the areas of Power Transmission & Distribution and
Telecommunication Engineering work. This occurred
consequent to the rapid development of infrastructure by
the Government for Industries as well as for the needs of the
nation. The company was primarily engaged in the
manufacture of Steel Hardware Items, Bolts & Nuts, Aerial
Cable Fittings, Stay Assemblies and Concrete Poles.

Over the years of existence, the company was able to win a

large number of highly competitive Public Tenders, which
were open to both local & foreign bidders. Now the
Company possesses assets worth over 1.5 Billion Sri Lankan
Rupees. This consists of Hardware factory, Bolts & Nuts
Manufacturing Plants, Concrete Pole Casting Yards, Heavy
Construction Machines, Transport Fleet, Stringing
Equipment, etc.,

The main clients and customers of the company are Sri

Lankan Government Authorities, and Agencies such as
Ceylon Electricity Board, Sri Lanka Telecom Ltd., Lanka
Electricity Company Ltd, National Water Supply &
Drainage Board, National Savings Bank, Sri Lankan
Airlines, Bank of Ceylon, Sri Lanka Railways and National
Hospital of Sri Lanka. The company functions as a local
economic unit of the Island, by saving approximately Rs.
500 Million worth of foreign exchange annually for our
country.

The company recently accessed the international market by

exporting steel hardware items to European, African and
Middle Eastern markets, namely Norway, Ruwanda,
Nigeria and Yemen.

The company offers services such as steel fabrication, road

construction, building construction, power & telecom
outside plant & tower line construction and electrical
installation. It also acts as the local agent for import of
telecom, electrical and water supply accessories and
industrial chemicals to Sri Lankan market.

The company has a total direct workforce of over 650

employees, who are highly qualified and competent in their
respective fields of work, especially engineers in
multi-disciplinary fields.

The company meets ISO 9001:2008 QMS/ISO 14001: 2015

EMS standards and enjoys CIDA grading C-2 for
Construction, and CIDA grading EM-1 for Steel Fabrication,
Electrical and Telecommunication Engineering Work.

Concrete Poles manufacturing unit is playing a major role in the organization. Our
poles have become the first choice of the CEB, LECO, and SLT during the period of past
02 decades, and are widely used by them owing to many advantages in the use of
these poles, including superior quality, timely deliveries from our own manufacturing
yards in various locations in Sri Lanka, and attractive prices. We are always looking for
