INTRODUCTION
This guide will provide you the information all you need to know to produce a dissertation of high quality. It will also enable you
to produce a business report of professional standard. As you know that the Project is an essential part of the MBA program,
hence we have given more weightage and allotted a full semester to the project work. It is designed to allow the student to
demonstrate his/her knowledge of the academic content of the course through its practical application in the business world. It is
important to understand here that you must make use of course concepts, models and theories which are learned through MBA
course.
To proceed with the project work it is very important to select a right topic and right organization, where you will get required
information for the successful completion of the project work.
Qualification of Guide: MBA or equivalent such as PGDBM and others OR Any graduate with 5-years of managerial level
experience in reputed organization OR Faculty in management institution having at least 3-years of teaching experience.
(NOTE: Prior to selection of the Title, approach the organization of your interest with the authorized introductory letter
from university study centre where you have taken admission).
It is necessary to plan ahead, to make sure that you will complete your work with in the time specified for the project work.
TO achieve it, you must work out precisely how much time you have. This means you should schedule your time work
backwards to be able to finish your project in due time.
You must work out crucial dates and measures demonstrating that your progress is satisfactory by those fixed dates.
With in six weeks from commencement of your fourth semester, students are asked to submit synopsis to the institute for
approval, and it should contain the following points.
Title of the project work: this should convey the general issues that interest you. The title should not be generic in nature and
should imply that the work is being made to be able to make certain conclusions. The title may indicate the organization in which
the research is being carried out.
Aims and objectives: aims and objectives of the research should be clearly mentioned.
Methodology: You should be specific about the methods you are going to use.
FORMAT OF REPORT FOR THE SUBMISSION:
1. The full content of the report must be hard bound together so that the pages cannot be removed or replaced.
2. The cover of the report must contain, title, name of the candidate, the award and the year of submission. (Refer annexure.
A).
3. Text pages should be printed on one side of the paper, preferably with 1.5 spacing, and page numbers at the bottom of the
each page. Margins should be 2” on the left and 1” on the right.
4. Please use separate index sheets for all chapters each chapter should start from a new page.
5. The declaration must be duly signed by the student( Refer annexure B)
6. The project report must be about 100-150 pages.
7. Report must contain all the necessary documents such as certificate from the viva-voce panel (refer annexure C)
Certificate of the University study centre (Refer annexure D) Company certificate, acknowledgements etc.
8. One copy of the project report along with CD, must submit to the UNIVERSITY.
