General description

Model Station "DST"

Method of construction Sending- and receiving station

System / Type of drive The conveying direction of the carrier is set through an external blower sta-
tion, which can switch between vacuum and pressure. Since the station DST
can receive as well as send, the conveying direction of the carrier is both
sided (single tube reversing principle)

Station-selection The operation is done menu-controlled by a keyboard and a clear text dis-
play. (individually programmable target numbers and addresses). The key-
board offers the user a 5-digit target selection with an accompanying 16-
digit user text.

Carrier store Selecting a target station is possible in every condition of the unit. The target
is saved in case of a busy system.

Target confirmation The system controls the condition of the receiving station, if sending to the
selected receiving station is possible.

Station -arrival When receiving a carrier it is braked pneumatically and ejected.

Control Microprocessor-controlled.

Power failure The system is built in a way that after a power failure it is self-examining and
if necessary self-repairing.

System diagnosis A self-disturbance program, a control of the condition of the unit and the
course of operation make a safe operation possible.

Safety requirements The station was tested according to the office- and industry standards. (EMV
etc.)

Accessories Wire basket, arrival signal AKS, holding device for carriers

DST End-station (End-piece below)

In uses as end station with to forwarding tube connection.
Without bypass, if the station is not the end of a downpipe. In this case its sufficient to use
an end piece to brake the carrier. The following mounting dimensions of the station must

DCU Instruction Special Codes

DCU Instruction Manual
The standard operating instructions for DCU are described in USER INSTRUCTION MANUAL. This part should be
understood as its extension and describes two additional features to support system operator.

Special Codes
There are two additional special codes. It is the special code 99991 and special code 99992.

Code 99991
Entering special code 99991 + PTT, the system displays:

99997 READY
Entering the right password (e.g. code) followed by PTT key, the system
WRONG NUMBER
(LCU) changes to TEST status. This works only when system is in READY
status.
Once in TEST status, it is possible to get the control to any station
equipped with display and keyboard by entering the right code and PTT
key. If so, diagnostic functions are available as described in 3.3.9. The
only difference is, that every control key has to be confirmed by PTT
key.

Entering the special code 99991 + PTT during TEST status, the system
changes to INIT (first phase only), followed by REDAY status.

Code 99992

99992 READY Entering special code 999992 + PTT, the system displays:
SELFSELECT

Pressing the PTT key again, starts the station a transit to itself. The car-
rier enters the system and should return in few moments. This works
only when system is in READY status.
