Introduction:
The information was not always delivered correctly. Since 7th grade I was told that the English
Second Language test was just to see how much you have been improved in English. I didnt
really pay attention to it and I just did what the teachers told me to do.
Thesis:
Teachers are responsible for informing the students the right information towards their benefits
of improving their academic skills.
BP1:

Topic sentence: What is the English Second language test.

Detail 1: The English Second Language test is given to the students from middle school and all
the way to high school.

Detail 2: If someone passes the test, they will be put in regular classes.

Detail 3: Students are challenged to face new style of learning and are improving in their English
skills.

BP2:

Topic sentence: A Science teacher was the one who informed their students the advantage of
passing the test.

Detail 1: I was in the Science SDAIE Class (Specially Designed Academic Instruction in English)
with that teacher my freshman year of High School .

Detail 2: My Sophomore year of High School I tried my best on the to pass the test.

Detail 3: By my junior year I was in regular classes and I was very excited and also sad at the
same time.

BP3:

Topic sentence: The new learning environment in the regular classes.

Detail 1: The improvement I have made academically in all my classes.

Detail 2: The challenges I faced on the regular classes and ways that people helped adapt to
the new ways of learning.
Detail 3: Feeling proud of myself for taking responsibility on what was really going to be
beneficial in my future.
Conclusion:

I feel thankful for those teachers that helped me on my academic skills. Now I am informing
people that are in the shoes I once was, to do their best and improve. And to understand that at
least someone will be there to advise you regarding to what is best for you as a student.
