ABSTRACT
In post-fordist societies, the politics and power exerted over minds ( Noo-politics,
Lazzaratto, 2006) have taken the place that belonged to disciplinary technologies
operating over human´s body, which have seen their action limited by
desterritorialization (globalization). New control technologies are based on the
possibbility to remotely transmit information from mind-to-mind, to in-form (to
give form) minds and no longer bodies. They owe their relative effectiveness and
functioning to the presence in subjectivities of a certain degree of indetermitation
(indefinition), which results from the incomplétense of individuation processes
(Simondon, 2005). This “undetermined” is also the place/space where the
social (pre-individual) cannot become individual ( internalization). It is a
potencial that functions as a driving force in social subjects which are in constant
change (transformation), and oblies them to break theoretical dicotomies based
on the opposition of subject and society, arising the irrevocable need of thinking
in integrative terms and getting over the caractheristic dualisms of modern social
theories.
The objective of this work is to go briefly through contemporary theories with
regard to the analysis of social meanings’ institution, mediated by mass media.
This will allow us to think about the especific way in which noo-politics work in
societies of control.
Based on this, we will be able to set out/suggets some guidelines which will
open up an investigation field regarding social meanings centered on
subjective features pf the human beign that allow and at the same time limit
their institution.
