BMW General Module 3 (aka GM3, GMIII,

The BMW GM III is used on several cars such as the E39 5-series 1995-2004, E38 7-
series 1994-2001 and the E53 X5 2000-2006 series.

The GM III were made under a variety of part numbers including the following. I
have grouped them together with the current replacement part number last. There are
many that I have not figured out what group they belong to. Most of the time I can fix
the GM3 module (GM3 repair), but, there are some GM3 problems I can fix and there
are some that I can't. If it's a problem I can't fix then your best bet is to replace it with
