"THE ORIGIN OF LANGUAGE"

The origin of language is a matter of speculation since we have no real information about it. The earliest language for which we
have records are already in a high stage of development.

"Otto Jespersen Said", Language was born in the courting days of mankind. Jespersen's proposal that human language
originated while people were concerned about the origins of language. Actually we don't know how language originated. Yet,
we never find the actual evidence about the origin of language.

There are many different theories about the origin of language.

The Divine Source
The Natural Sounds Source
The Oral Gesture Source
Physiological Adaptation
Glossogenetics

The Divine Source

According to "The Divine Source", people thought that language came from the God by Adam. Different religious people
thought that their Gods give them language and they did different experiments but all experiments were failed.

The Natural Sounds Source

This theory is based on the concept of natural sounds. Early people imitated the natural sounds those they heard around them
like birds chirping, CAW-CAW, and CUCKOO sounds, this natural sound was adapted to refer a flying object. Similarly another
theory was named "BOW-WOW THEORY" the theory has more sounds like splash, boom, buzz, rattle, screech and such as Bow-
Wow. Emotional and sudden sounds are the part of this theory. An other natural sound theory is "YO-HEAVE-YO" theory.
Those sounds which produce in physical effort by a person like grunts and groans, and swear words are called "YO HEAVE YO"
theory.

The Oral-Gesture source

According to the theory, there is an extremely specific connection between physical and oral gesture. We don't use only oral
gesture, we also use physical gestures to communicate. For example, we wave hands to say goodbye, we nod our heads to show
our approval and produce a sound "yes" by our tongue. The oral gesture source suggests that language started with the gestures
that we use by our mouth and other speech organs.

Physiological Adaptation
This proposal is about the origin of human speech. Unlike human beings, no other species can use language because other
animals have a very different physiology than human beings. The structure of human mouth allows to produce various sounds.
Human beings have vocal tract for speaking. Human mouth is small, which makes it easier to open and close for fast speech
production. Teeth, lips, ridges, palate, tongue are all speech organs, we couldn't have spoken without these.

Glossogenetic
Another speculation of the origin of language is the broad term glossogenetics, which focus mainly on the biological basis of the
formation and development of human language. Briefly stated, glossogenetics is the theory that humans are genetically
predisposed to acquire language.
