Arcadia

Sons of Menos
The Sons of Menos is one of the primary cults in Arcadia. Although they worship the pantheon
as a whole they exalt Menos above all others. They accept only males of high birth within their
ranks, initiates are placed under the patronage of a veteran member. Initiates engage in
homosexual relationships with their patrons to form strong bonds within the cult. The Sons of
Menos comprise the elite troops in Arcadia in times of trouble. Many Kings and lords in lower
Arcadia belong to the Sons of Menos. Members are trained as elite hoplites loyal members are
taught the mysteries of the Storm King.

Moon Wolf Cult


The Moon Wolf cult is one of the most ancient cults in Arcadia, Den Mothers trace its origin to
before the fall of the old empire. Although they worship the pantheon as a whole they revere the
Moon mother Iltani and seek to emulate her examples. Moon Wolves organise their cults as
extended family groups, new members are 'married into the tribe' a large polyamourous group
where children belong to the cult chapter rather than a single individual. The full moon is a holy
day in Moon Wolf cult tradition with ritual orgies, feasts and moon howling occurring each full
moon. These families are especially dominant in upper arcadia and many nobles are members
of wolf packs. The Moon Wolf cult is popular among the lower classes as it provides a network
for support, each family is required to provide members from its family to serve its city in times
of war and crisis. Each family has its own traditions and mysteries but the full moon is shared by
all. Cult members often adorn themselves with lunar and canine motifs.

Ox Tongues
One of the most ancient cults The Ox Tongues are the devotees of Gemeka. With knowledge of
the mysteries of childbirth and plant growth Ox Tongues are always warmly received in rural
villages. Ox Tongues are a highly ritualised cult with many restrictions and obligations. Ox
Tongues have a historic rivalry with the Cult of the Eternal Emperor, they also have restrictions
against homosexuality.

Companions of the Cat


A non-religious brotherhood the companions of the cat are a loose network of adventurers,
explorers and traders. Members follow the example of the Demon adventurer Dicitos. Although
Dicitos discourages veneration of himself, he eventually allowed people to accompany him on
his travels. As the brotherhood grew, Dicitos decided to use his followers to found a neutral port
city. After Dicitos' retirement the Companions continued to operate as a network for Adventurers
and Traders for cheap travel and protection. The Brotherhood has few official rules, maintain the
peace of the neutral city. Feed cats and never sail without a cat.
Brotherhood of Zygos
A philosophical brotherhood, they follow the example of the Demon God Zygos. The
Brotherhood focuses on practical knowledge, craftsmanship and scholarship. They believe that
freedom comes from hard work and creativity. Many slaves and craftsmen follow the
Philosophies of Zygos, but membership is limited to freemen. Members are known to offer their
services to anyone including worshippers of Adramelech. Brothers often are employed as tutors
and educators, they often buy and train educated slaves.

The Oarsmen
A secret society in Arcadia, the Oarsmen worship Trogon above the other Higher plane gods,
which is viewed with suspicion across Arcadia. Restricted to peasants the Oarsmen trade
secrets to minimize the ravages of hard labour, the Oarsmen organize and are required to
participate in mutinies organized by the group. The Oarsmen communicate with hidden signals
and signs to communicate organized dissent. New members are required to receive a beating
from established members, and are then expected to adhere to a strict code of silence with non
members.

Beggar Sect
An ancient cult founded in the Old Empire, the Beggar Sect are tricksters and despise Authority.
Members disavow ownership of land and private property. Members survive through gambling,
begging and thievery. The Beggar Sect communicated through complex graffitti and are found
in most urban cities. Seen as troublemakers by most others they are often treated very poorly,
members often defend and receive protection by the lowest members of society.

Tidewatchers
A ancient of human cult which has fallen out of favour in recent times, the Tidewatchers worship
the Divine Marriage, equal status is given to Menos, Iltani and Trogon. The Tidewatchers has
become a refuge for those in Arcadia outside of the mainstream cults, many seaman and
fishermen become Tidewatchers.

Order of the Cold Heart


Originally followers of the Demon saint Zafeiri members are trained to commune with spirits of
the dead. They sought to rid the material world of the undead and return trapped souls to the
spirit world. Following the murder of their living saint, the Order became more militant tormented
by the souls of the dead and their founder they seek to eliminate any who abuse the spirit world.
Pantheos Concordat
The Concordat respects Gods of both the Higher and Lower planes, even the saints are given a
special status within the Concordat however Voadica is considered their patron. The Concordat
are respected as mediators they manage areas of dialogue between the pantheon, and are
called upon to communicate truces and terms in times of conflict.

Banners of the Red Hand


Primarily a Demon cult the Red Hand worship the Demon Gods of the Lower Plane with Kokino
given reverence above all others. Most Red Hands are demons humans are given a lower
status within the cult often as slaves or serfs however the cult is governed by strength, guile and
politics so humans devious enough to survive long enough have risen high enough to learn the
mysteries of the lower plane.

The Black Crusade


The Black Crusade is a non-religious organization, founded by the Demon E-Rho the
organization's goal is free souls trapped in the underworld by destroying the Arch Demon
Adramelech. A brutal organization Crusaders are forced to engage in ritual body mutilation and
self torture, these rituals are intended to show loyalty and purge their members of pain and fear.
Brothers consider these measures necessary in order to sustain their campaign in the
Underworld. The Black Crusade doesn't care where you're from or what Gods you venerate so
long as you prove your loyalty by marching into the Underworld. Many individuals who think they
or they're loved ones are destined to be trapped in the Underworld join the Black Crusader to
free themselves or their loved ones.
