Projectile

A projectile is an
object upon which the
only force acting is
gravity. The object is
generally dropped or
thrown.
Velocity components

Vertical velocity: the up and down

component of velocity. Influenced by
acceleration due to gravity.

Horizontal velocity: the left to right

component of velocity. Remained
constant throughout the entirety of the
projectile
Range (displacement)

How far the projectile travels from its original location.

Influenced by the horizontal velocity of the projectile.
Height:
How high the projectile reaches.
Based on the angle that the
projectile is shot and vertical
velocity.
Acceleration

Acceleration due to gravity is

the only acceleration that an
object is undergoing. This
means the acceleration is
always 9.8 m/s2
