FAMILY NURSING ASSESSMENT

A. Family Structure Characteristics and dynamics

The family of Tapia is beaded by Mr. Bienvenido and is living with Mrs. Elvira
and together had seven daughters and one son. Mr. Bienvenido was born on July
26, 1953 at the age of 63 and Mrs. Elvira was born on April 20, 1971 at the age of
46,and they have children namely Ms.Rhea Mae was born on May 5, 1997 at the age
of 19 and she is the oldest, Ms. Michelle Mae was born on September 23, 1999 at
the age of 17, Ms. July Ann was born on July 04, 2002, at the age of 14, Ms. Mae
Jane was born on September 15, 2004 at the age of 12, Ms. Elvie was born on
October 04, 2006 at the age of 10, Ms. Catherine was born on October 09, 2009 at
the age of 7, Ms.Princess Monica was born on April 07, 2013 at the age of 3 and Mr.
Elvie Lloyd was born on December 13, 2016 the age of 3 months and he is the
youngest and these siblings still live together on the same roof. They are categorized
as a nuclear family. They are living fifteen years in Barangay. North Poblacion,
Maramag 9 zone 1.

On the terms of decision making especially on the aspects of care, both Mr.
and Mrs. Tapia are the one making decision for the family. As observed during
assessments there were no presence ofobservable conflict between the family
members. There's adequacy in providing ask necessities of the family which
include foods, clothing, shelter, and etc.

B. Socio-economic and Cultural Characteristics

The Family Tapia is under Pantawid Pamilyang Filipino Program (4P's}. They,
are Christians under the denomination of Roman Catholic. They were from the
ethnic Bisaya. The family doesn't participate in any community activities. In regards
on financial matters Mr. Tapia shouldered 75% and the 25% provided by Mrs. Tapia
through their sari-sari store but occasionally and temporarily be close when there's
no milling in the crystal company.

Mr. Tapia,si an elementary graduate. He is a Gantry Hooker with monthly

income of P12,000.00 per month from crystal sugar milling company. Mrs. Tapia is
an elementary graduate. She owns a small sari-sari store with an income of P5,000 per
month. Ms. Rhea Mae is a 3rd year college at Central Mindanao University and during
