Lesson outline Activity 1 Whats in the title?
Procedure:
1. Guide all students to talk about the title, Hobbies
2. Ask the following questions:
What does the title, Hobbies mean?
Can you tell me hobbies that teenagers like?
Activity 2 Whats the Hobby?
Procedure:
1. Draw students attention to the pictures.
2. Teacher asks the following questions:
What do you see in the pictures?
What are the children doing in the pictures?
Activity 3 Talking about Hobbies
Procedure:
1. Lead all students to discuss the hobbies in the picture.
2. Teacher asks the following questions
Which hobby do you like?
Which hobby do you dislike?

Lesson outline Activity 1 Name the Activities
Procedure:
a) Get the students to look at the pictures.
b) Ask students the following question:
What are the activities in the pictures?
Which activity would you like as your hobby?
Activity 2 Listen and Say Aloud
Procedure:
a) Play the audio video DVD to allow students to listen and practice saying aloud the activities.
b) Pause after each pictures to allow all students to internalise the targeted vocabulary.
c) Ensure that all students participate actively. Replay if necessary.
Activity 3 Carrying out the Hobbies
Procedure:
a) Get students to look at the pictures again.
b) Ask students this question:
Where do you carry out these activities?
c) Get students to work in pairs.
d) One student invites another student to join him/her in carrying out their favourite hobby.
e) Guide students to ask and answer the following questions:
Would you like to join me for a picnic this Saturday?
Would you like to play badminton with me this evening at five?
