Create a safe and healthy community for first year students by managing 38 students; provide educational
programs and passive programing to engage and challenge them to do better; uphold standards and complete
Student Code of Conduct Violations reports.
Intern, SUNY Brockport Public Service, Executive assistant of President Macpherson August 2017-Present
Coordinate Veterans Day programs; generate research on veterans programs around the US; compare with
SUNY Brockport; and propose change to the College in December 2017

Community Experience
Founder, Veterans Memorial on campus March 2017- Present
Develop legislation through the Student Senate to place a memorial in remembrance of the families,
staff, faculty, former students and veterans on SUNY Brockport campus. Launched funding and
organized ceremony for the installation.
Coordinator, Veterans Awareness/ Acceptance Month 2016 October 2016- November 2016
Managed the distribution of Yellow Ribbons to students of SUNY Brockport to heighten awareness
about supporting our troops and veterans. Drafted legislation to the Student Senate to obtain funding.
Coordinator, Operation Valentine February 2017
Worked with Community Development and the Student Senate to enlighten students that we should
not just give thanks to our veterans on two holidays. Cards were made for homeless veterans in our
local Rochester area, then distributed to shelters.
Co-coordinator, Step up for Vets February 2017-March 2017
Collaborated with the College Presidents assistant to create a program throughout the college where
students, faculty, and staff donated used and old shoes to give to homeless veterans in Rochester. The
Giving them shoes, helped them feel more comfortable in applying for jobs within the community by
being able to wear a nice pair of shoes.

Honors and Awards:


National Presidential Volunteer Service Award 2016-2017, SUNY Brockport April 2017
Achieved the Bronze level of national recognition from the President of the United States Barrack
Obama, by volunteering for more than 120 hours in service of our local Brockport community and
nation.
Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society, SUNY Brockport May 2017-present
Inducted into the national leadership honor society at SUNY Brockport campus. Met all the criteria by
demonstrating scholarship, leadership, and service.
National Society of Collegiate Scholars, SUNY Brockport October 2016-present
Inducted into this society for scholarship, and service to the community throughout the university.

Inducted into the co-ed service fraternity for completing 30+ hours of community service by

Brockport Student Government Presidential Award, SUNY Brockport April 2017
Presented with the Brockport Student Government Presidential Award for my efforts managing veteran
outreach programs; orientating new senators by welcoming them and going above and beyond what
was expected to get them up to speed.
Rakov Political Science Public Service Scholarship, SUNY Brockport April 2017
Received scholarship from the Rakov family in memory of Dr. Rakov, a SUNY Brockport professor,
who demonstrated extraordinary public service to the greater Brockport area and Rochester
community. Selected for this scholarship due to my public service work on campus in remembrance of
veterans and outreach to current veterans on our campus.
