Let Us Build A Strong Pakistan

We must get Pakistan at any cost. For it we live and for it we will die. Quiad-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah said
this once to the Muslims of India. The words reveal how serious the movement was and the tone suggest how
desperate the Muslims were when these word were uttered. Eventually, we got Pakistan but the cost of becoming
a nation was not less. The tears of joy trickled down the eyes when the land of Pakistan came into sight and the
dried lips did not stop chanting Pakistan Zindabad when we kissed the soil we were willing to live in and ready
to die for.

Limping, shivering, crippling, slowly, with heavy feet we moved forward but to bare the biggest loss and that is to
lose our torch bearer, Quaid-e-Azam just after a year of our independence. We somehow, made our way among
the darkest patches in our history and started gearing up for a smooth journey but fortunately and unfortunately
the enemy did not like our progress. Fortunately because in 1965, the enemy learned lifelong lesson that they
dont have enough muscles in their arms to defeat us in a battle and unfortunately, because the second time our
coward enemy stabbed us in the back and we had to face another setback in 1971.

Again the time tested our patience, unity, faith, and many more traits and by the grace of Almighty, we stood up
to His expectations. It is true that we got injured, but we had learnt to heal our injuries. It is true that we became
wounded, but we knew how to keep those wounds from getting rotten. It is true that we were stunned, but we
regained conscious by our will and determination.

Since the inception, we have faced problems. Problems that were enough to uproot any weak nation. Problems
that were enough to weaken any people. Problems that were enough for a nation to succumb. Problems that
were enough for a people to become history. But ladies and gentlemen, let us salute this nation and its institutions
that have always addressed the problems with only two word:

Allah-o-Akbar

Allah-o-Akbar

Ladies and gentlemen, we have gone through various ups and downs and our history has taught us many lessons.
We have fought many wars and we have defended out honor on many fronts. We have experienced many
earthquakes and we have taken baths in many floods. We have conquered many sports grounds and we have
congratulated our competitors on being victorious. But ladies and gentlemen, today we stand at a point in the
history where wither we can chose to be the best or the worst, to be successful or to be fail, to be great or to be
insignificant. Ladies and gentlemen we have had enough from the history, from our enemies, from our critics, and
from everyone else. It is now time to rise and rule. It is now time to decide whether to set the history or repeat
the history. Ladies and gentlemen, let us set the history

Let us not allow our future generations to carry the burden we have carried since 1947. Let us not choose short
term benefits over long term loses. Let us not convey a weak message to our international community. Let us not
allow our internal and external enemies to grow strong. Let us not be swayed by any discontent or unhealthy
thought. Let us feel proud of our doctors & nurses, judges and lawyers, professors and scholars. Let us be proud
of the young and talented brains we have around us. Let us strengthen our institutions and constitution. Let us
gather all our physical, mental, social, psychological, chivalric and administrative strengths together to build
Pakistan. Ladies and gentlemen let us build strong Pakistan. I will end my speech by revising the words of Quiad-
e-Azam:

We must build strong Pakistan at any cost, for in it we live and for in it we will die. Thank you.
