Please except this letter as my intent to apply for the current Social Studies position at the middle
school level. Teaching has always been the path I felt called to and wished to pursue. It has been my
dream to earn the opportunity to educate and inspire students to live a productive life. Also, I have a
deep love for young adults, which in turn drives me to care deeply about how they can individually
succeed. Therefore, it is my sincerest desire to become a member of your esteemed faculty so that I may
continue positively impacting young lives and evolving as an education professional myself.

I graduated from Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, California in May 2012 with my Bachelor of Arts
in History and a Minor in Leadership. I then obtained my Single Subject Teaching Credential in Social
Science from National University in 2016. My true passion lies in history. The worlds great history is a
gift given so that we might learn from our successes, but also grow from the mistakes. My deep-rooted
love for history even inspired me to travel across the world and study abroad in Rome, Italy for seven
months during my sophomore year in college. While I was abroad, I developed so many important life
skills. One of the greatest things I took from this experience was grasping the notion that there is so
much rich culture beyond my life here in California. My Leadership Minor at Azusa Pacific University,
my classroom time during my courses at National University, my experiences during my student
teaching, along with being a substitute teacher on a short and long term basis, have truly cultivated my
skills as a teacher and prepared me for a career in education.

After coming to the understanding that Brea Olinda Unified School District and myself have common
beliefs, in addition to having expertise training in the field of education, history and leadership, I know
that I can play an influential role in your community. Even though history is my main passion, I hope
to blend myself in the teaching community in any style that is available. For example, during my
current long term substitute position at SVUSD I am teaching ASB which has since become a passion
of mine. I strive to use my talents and aspirations to fashion excellence in all areas in which I am
involved, whether that be fine arts, athletics, academia, or student life. I am inspired by how you define
yourself as an institution, and I am confident that the potential relationship we may build together as a
teacher and school will advance many bright futures for those in our care. I look forward to meeting
with you in person or over the phone to discuss any job openings you may have at this time. I have
