Beck Banks
Cartwright School District
5220 W. Indian School Rd.
Phoenix, AZ 85031

Dear Ms. Becky Banks,

I am interested in applying for the kindergarten teaching position in your school district. As a
2020 graduate of Arizona State Universitys Mary Lou Fulton Teaching College, I have student
teaching experience and knowledge of primary grade levels. My teaching experience and passion
for children, community, and academic and social achievement make me an ideal candidate for a
teaching position in your district.

I have experience in teaching elementary-level students. My passion from teaching began in high
school as I was enrolled in the Teaching Academy in my district and I was at the top of my class
in this academy. I was placed in a kindergarten and first grade classroom two consecutive years
in a row. I was able to gain experience in the field at a young age and I knew it was what I
wanted to do for the rest of my life. I am currently interning in a kindergarten classroom at a
public school in the Tempe School District. I have experience teaching in suburban public
schools as well as title one schools. Your school in located in a suburban setting and I think that
my experiences so far would make me a great asset to your school and teaching program.

Your school takes pride in engaging students in all aspect of learning. I have a variety of
teaching strategies that appeal to all different types of students. Along with this, I have high
expectations of my students because I know that they are capable of more than they know. I
strive to engage all my student so that they can be the best version of themselves. During one of
my student teaching positions, I had a student tell me that people have told him that he wouldnt
be able to do well in math. Previous teachers had taught him cookie cutter style and this did
not make sense to him. I worked with him individually, incorporating different learning styles
and activities. By the end of the year, he had passed his state math exam with flying colors. I
enjoy thinking creatively with my students and I would love to implement this into your district.

It is my main goal to help the students in your district achieve academically, emotionally, and
socially. My experiences have prepared me well but myself as a person is what will allow me to
stand out and excel in your district. I am gentle but assertive, have an engaging personality, am a
good listener and communicator, and I will always take care of my students before myself. I am
the teacher who will make a difference not only in your school and district but in the surrounding
community that our students are a part of. I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to interview
and I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Bailey Bach
