Development, Strat.Management and Leadership

I am applying for the Master Programme in Management of Inn.and Business Development,

Strat.Management and Leadership at Halmstad University because I want to pursue my
career as a management consultant. In particular, I am interested in various managerial issues
that affect the competitive performance of a business concern and the manner in which
changes in these issues can affect an organization’s performance. In order to gain the
knowledge of managerial issues, it is essential for me to have a strong grounding in
management and leadership area.

I completed my Bachelor in Commerce from University of Punjab and took admission in

University of Gujrat in order to broaden my perspective and to improve my career prospects.
The University of Gujrat is a public sector university and study at public sector university
especially in business and administration sciences is a dream of every student in Pakistan.
During my Master of Business Administration I did very well in projects, workshops and
class discussion; academically I did perform to my satisfaction and got highest GPA in last
three semesters (I finished with a CGPA of 3.47).

In my view, the thought of pursuing my career in this field seems to be the most logical step
for me at this stage because my two years of business education in master and two year of
commerce education in bachelor have provided me with a strong knowledge of management
and administrative sciences and prepared me accordingly by getting research oriented
qualification and international exposure. Moreover, the study of various management subjects
and application of various management concepts in completion of assigned projects during
my master’s degree has been very productive in acceleration of my curiosity for further
qualification in this area.

I believe that this program (with concentration in Research and Management) will increase
my overall knowledge of management. Moreover, this programme will also enhance and
sharpen my professional skills and prepared me according to my learning goals so that I can
channel my quantitative and conceptual skills during my professional life in analyzing
various managerial issues. Furthermore, the aim of this programme and the curriculum
offered is also in accordance with my learning and career goals and I am impressed with the
emphasis placed on technical and analytical skills. I believe the international character of this
Master programme at Halmstad University specifically addresses my needs in terms of
quality. The University's strengths in management sciences and research are also
commensurate with contemporary business requirements.

This Master programme at Halmstad University will also empower me to significantly

contribute during the programme. My contribution during the programme will be to make a
comparison of various managerial issues and a comparative study of labor market between
developing and developed countries because I believe that in the time of globalization where
organizations are expanding their business into different geographical locations there is need
of diverse multicultural knowledge of managerial issues and labor market for an effective
management consultant. This diverse multicultural knowledge will empower me to manage
of client relationships, identifies diverse management issues and conducting analysis in
multicultural environment during my professional life.

I hope that the admissions committee finds my background, interest and strength
commensurate with the requirements Master Programme in Management of Inn.and Business
Development, Strat.Management and Leadership at Halmstad University.
