Resumo
O nmero de idosos nos ltimos anos tem apresentado incremento em todo o mundo, o
que acaba gerando inmeras preocupaes com a sade dessa populao, j que nessa fase
da vida as alteraes fisiolgicas os tornam mais propensos a doenas, principalmente
as crnicas no-transmissveis. A osteoporose, uma doena osteometablica frequente
nos idosos, torna-se alvo de importantes estudos, uma vez que suas consequncias
