Interrupt Process Type in BI 7.0.

Interrupt is a process type which is used in the process chains to trigger the chain after completion of specific
steps in another process chains or to pass the process chain up to specified certain time is reached based
on the requirement.

Business scenario:
While loading the data using process chain if we want to pass the process chain run at particular step and
wait until particular time is reached then we can use the Interrupt Process type in process chain creation.

Interrupt process type

We can find the Interrupt Process type in General services

By using the Interrupt we can pass the process chain for some time and after that we can run the process
chain further.

Inserting of Process type

After dragging the process type Interrupt we must press on click on create button

Different Options Present in the Interrupt Scheduling

Immediate
Date/Time
After Job
After event
At operation mode
Factory calendar day

Scenario for Interrupt usage

In my scenario even though the first data load is completed before 2:50 the second step must be passed
until 2:50. so we have used interrupt process type to pass the chain between first step and second step for
some time.

After the specified time is completed in interrupt the second data loading is started

Remote Process chain process Type in BI 7.0.

Remote Process chain is a process type which is used in the process chains to trigger the Process chains in
another BI system which is connected with the current system by RFC connection based on the requirement.

Business scenario:
While loading the data using process chain if we want to trigger the process chain in some other BI system
which is connected with current system by RFC we can use the Remote Process chain Process type in
process chain creation In our scenario when PO load is completed in one BI system we need to trigger AP
chain in another BI system which is connected with RFC and after completion of the AP chain in another
system we should get the signal back to the process chain in current system.

Scenario for Remote Process chain Process Type

In our business case after the PO chain is completed in current system it should trigger the Invoice process
chain present in another BI system. So we have used Remote Process chain Process type in PO chain in
GRD system which automatically triggers the Invoice chain in GRQ system and after successful completion
of AP chain in target system the signal will come back to PO chain in current system.

Remote Process Chain Process type inclusion in the chain

1) We need to give the Destination as target BI system name in which we need to trigger the chain
2) The process chain name in the target system which needs to be triggered must be given in the called
in Target system.
3) We need to give the source chain name in which we are using Remote Process type to get the signal
back in the Destination for call back.

Scenario for Remote Process chain Process type

First PO chain will be started in GRA BI system

When the chain comes to Remote process type automatically the chain which we have given in the Remote
Process type creation will be triggered in the target system (GRQ)

Until the process chain in target system is completed the status of the Remote process type in PO process
chain in the source BI system will be Yellow only i.e. running. After the AP chain is completed in target
system the remote process chain process type in PO chain will get turned in to Green (completed) this will
indicate that the AP process chain in the target system is completed successfully.
