Facts: In May of 2012 Sandra Blanpied DOB 0729/54
responded to Police Department Headquarters. At that time Mrs. Blanpied inquired as to whether
any further information regarding her mother’s disappearance in 1966 had ever been developed.
Blanpied whose maiden name was Pietrewicz was born and raised on the North Fork and resided on
Rte. 25 in Cutchogue. In 1966, Blanpied indicated that she lived with her father Albin Pietrewicz
and her Mother Louise in a house which was located directly west of Kaelins Service Center on the
Main Road. Blanpied indicated that during that year, her mother began having an affair with
William (Bill) Boken of Southold, who at that time was a police officer for the Town of Southold.
Mrs. Blanpied stated that she knew of the affair because on several occasions her mother brought
her along when she would meet with Boken at various dead ends throughout Cutchogue. At that
time Blanpied said that her father was very mentally, as well as physically, abusive towards her and
her mother. In the fall of 1966, Blanpied stated that her mother showed her two airline tickets to
Florida. At that point Blanpied indicated that she thought that she and her mother were going to
Florida to get away from her father. A short time later it became evident to her that this was not
going to take place. It was revealed to her that Bill Boken was planning on taking her mother and
not her. At that time Blanpied said that Boken actually got very “nasty” with her mother reference
the airline tickets. Blanpied stated that at the time she was unsure if Boken was upset with her
mother because she spoke of the Florida trip of if she wanted to bring her along and Boken did not
agree. Around this time frame, Blanpied indicated that she and her mother went to stay at her
‘grandfather's residence in Bridgehampton due to her abusive father.
‘On October6, 1955 Blanpied state that she said goodbye to her mother and went to school. Upon
returning home to her grandfather's, she found that her mother was not home and according to
Blanpied this was the last contact she ever had with her mother. Mrs. Blanpied stated that a short
time later she moved with her aunt in Sagaponack where she stayed until mid November. At that
point she moved back to Cutchogue and stayed with relatives (Zuhoski’s). Eventually in December
‘of 1966 Blanpied returned to live with her father. At that point she indicated that she asked her
father for information about her mother but he refused to talk to her reference the disappearance.
Mrs. Blanpied stated that after repeatedly asking her father questions about what had happened to
her mother the only thing he ever said was that her mother had abandoned them and that she should
mind her own business.
‘fier several years had passed, Blanpied said that she received further information regarding the
time frame when her mother disappeared and the subsequent investigation by the New York State
Police. This information was in the form of notes which her aunt had kept detailing the day her
mother went missing and later updates provided by the police. These notes indicated that on the day
Louise Pietrewicz was last seen, she was observed by Blanpied’s Aunt Stephanie Krasity in
Boken’s car leaving her father’s residence in Bridgehampton. As Boken’s car was passing Krasity
in the driveway, Pietrewicz was visible in the passenger seat but seemed to lower her head in an
attempt to not be seen. After Pietrewicz and Boken lef, they did not return. Several weeks passed
and Pietrewicz still had not returned so Krasity spoke with a judge reference what had transpired
and he advised her to contgct the police.
