NokiaSBTS Element Manager(SBTSWebUI)isawebbasedapplicationfor


maintainingandcommissioninganSBTS.
YoucanconnecttotheBTSsitelocallyorremotely.Localconnectionmeansdirect
connectionfromaPCwithasupportedwebbrowsertotheBTSviaLMPportusingthe
GigabitEthernetcablewithaRJ-45connector.SBTS Element Managerisavailablein
thewebbrowser.
Thedefaultloginis:Nemuadminandthedefaultpasswordisnemuuser.Formore

Remoteconnectioncanbeestablishedforthecommissionedsitesusingmanagement
planethroughthedatacommunicationnetwork(DCN).

2 Migrating an existing BTS to an SBTS


HowtoconvertanexistingLTE,WCDMAorGSMBTStoanSBTSusingBTS Site
ManagerandSBTS Element Manager.ThescopeofmigrationincludesSCF
conversion,softwareupgradeandcommissioninganSBTS.

Before you start


Ensurethefollowing:
LN7.0,FL15A,WN9.1orWBTS16softwareisinstalledonasystemmodule.
AcorrespondingBTS Site ManagerisinstalledonyourPC.
SBTSsoftwareisavailable.
AnSBTSprofileisselected.
AninternetBrowsercompatiblewithSBTS Element Managerisinstalledonyour
PC.Formoreinformation,seeAboutSBTSElementManager.
CheckthesiterouterandtransportnetworkwithIPplanning(addresses,VLANs,
routing,QoS)aswellasremote-endconfigurationforthenewcommontransport.

Procedure

1 Save an existing BTS SCF to your PC.


Formoreinformation,seeSavinganexistingWCDMASCFtothePCorSavingan
existingLTESCFtothePC.

2 Produce SBTS SCF on the basis of the existing SCF.

5 Add new hardware and re-cable (Optional).

SBTSprofile.Formoreinformation,seeCreatingSBTSConfigurations,andnavigate
tothechaptercorrespondingtoyourconfiguration.

6 Power the BTS.

7 Connect to the BTS and perform authentication using BTS Site Manager.
Localorremoteconnectionispossible.Authenticationisenabledeitherwiththe
defaultusername/password(Nemuadmin/ nemuuser)orauserdefinedusername/
password.

8 Upgrade software to SBTS16.2.

9 Connect to the SBTS and perform authentication using SBTS Element


Manager.
Localorremoteconnectionispossible.Authenticationisenabledeitherwiththe
defaultusername/password(Nemuadmin/nemuuser)orauserdefinedusername

10 Upload the SBTS SCF and SBTS profile to an SBTS.

Before you start


Ensurethefollowing:
FDSW1.1softwareisinstalledonasystemmodule.
FDSWBTS Site ManagerisinstalledonyourPC.

1 Perform cabling.

2 Power the BTS.

3 Connect to the BTS and perform authentication using BTS Site Manager.

4 Upgrade software from FDSW 1.1 to SBTS16.2.

expiresandfault10: EFaultId_NoConnectionToUnitAIisraised.

1 The CSR contents from example.csr file needs to copied to Insta Certifier using
the PKCS 10 Form enrollment link. The Certification authority responsible for
signing SBTS certificate needs to be selected as shown.
