Question : 1 Difficulty Level:Medium
Read the passage given below carefully and answer the question.
Rakesh was appointed as a support staff in an accounting firm a week before. His leader explained the responsibilities well to Rakesh and
told to communicate for any difficulty faced. As this was a very first job of Rakesh, it took time to be familiar with the environment.
Rakesh was asked to prepare the updated list of all the clients and communicate with them about an upcoming event of the firm. Rakesh
had to report to the team leader the next day. Rakesh decided to complete his work before afternoon tea-break. He thought of preparing
a to-do-list to finish the given tasks on time. He started with listing the details and found himself there from where he had started in the
afternoon. He spent much of his time in deciding the items to be included in the to-do- list.
Then he started searching for the previous documents related to correspondence with the clients. He found some documents which could
be considered as a base. He started reading those documents and found some typo errors in them. He worked hard for hours for correcting
those documents. When he finished this task, it was late afternoon. Suddenly he remembered the words of his team leader. He was now
confused about how to complete the given task. He had to update the list with all possible changes in the contact details of the clients, take
information of these changes from HR and communicate about the event. The list was quite a big one. He was expected to study the details
of the event so that he could answer the queries of the clients. By the time he started updating the list, it was the end of the day. As this was
his first day, he didnt want to leave the office without finishing the given task. He sat in the office for long hours and completed the task.
When he finished his work, it was 7.30 pm.
Next day Rakesh gave the report to his team leader. He was not happy with the work done by Rakesh and suggested many improvements.
He had to sit and rework the whole thing. It was quite a dejecting experience for Rakesh.
