May Affect Your Students Pronunciation, 2014). There is a degree that the students
who are exposed to English in daily life regularly will improve their pronunciation faster
( 7 Factors that May Affect Your Students Pronunciation, 2014). There are many ways
to increase the English speaking environment such as watching an English film, reading
books with English, practice speaking English with a native speakers, etc.

Singapore:

English is a language that is spoken most widely in Singapore (Pearl Lee, 2016). There
is a survey that 36.9% people from the age of 5 use English at home. This number is
rasing recently: 23% (2000), 28.1% (2005), 32.3% (2010) and 36.9% (2015).
Nowadays, there is a tendency that people speak almost in English since they start their
family (Pearl Lee, 2016). They use English to communicate with their children from the
early age, even they speak their mother tongue with their parents.

Philippine:

Because of the occupation from the America, the Filipinos was influenced English
deeply. The American sent their native teacher to Philippine to spread their languge and
offered teachers in Philippine communicate in schools all in English. English is used by
the Filipinos in everydays life. All of the movies are shown in English. Chanels and news
on the TV are in English 100%. Moreover, the most tricky feature that helps the
Filipinos are good at English is all the notice boards on the road are all in English.

Span

Spanish have lack of chance to contact with English. There is just a liitle bit of English is
used on everydays life through TV, internet, radio, newspaper, etc. English is a foreign
language in Span, not a second language. (Ortega, 2011). According to Eurobarometer,
28% of Spanish sate that they have lacking of time, encouragement and economic
condition to learn English. Only 27% Spanish can communicate in a conversation in
Englsih. 44% Spanish declared that they cannt speak any languges beside their own
languge.

Japan:

The crucial reason that Japan cant speak English correctly is that their dialect is
picturegraph (Whats wrong with the way English is taught in Japan, n.d.). It is a
graphic display of icons, symbols or pictures to represent an idea, a concept or the
amount of something (What is a Picture Graph?, n.d.). Besides that, the sounds of
Japanese doesnt have any sounds in English. Japanese dont understand the important
thing that is English is not an optional choice, it is essential. The other reason that
Janpese cant speak English fluently is that the Japanese teachers are not good at
English. They dont have a tendency to hire native English speakers to help them
pronounce and speak English correctly. Moreover, shools in Japan dont reinforce the
programs of teaching English. There are lacking of chance for students to expand their
contact with English regularly: no speaking and reading lessons, just learning about
grammar, no conversations between students or with the native English speakers to
practice English. There is lack of information about the world excepts on the TV.

Vietnam:

The essential reason that Vietnamese cant speak English correctly is that their habbit of
mother tongue (Phong, 2011). Some words that are pronounced in Vietnamese
particularly, so it is hard for Vietnames to pronounced correctly in English. The students
have a chance in school to heard the word pronounced in English, but their own
teacher pronouced it uncorrectly. Besides that, the traditional way of learning English is
not effective. All of the lessons at school all focus on grammars, the students just only
have a motivation to learn the English grammr to pass their tests. For example, they
just need to learn and remember the signal to change the verb to the corect tense, and
then they give a right answer. However, they have lack of the environment to practice
speaking English with a native speaker, an important factor to pronounce English
correctly.
