We Are All Scientists!
Dear Parents,
This week was very
busy! We learned about
the uppercase and lower-
case letter N. We prac-
ticed the letter N sound
and brainstormed lots of
words that begin with N.
Our popcorn word this
week was see. So far genius link for November
your child should recognize
the popcorn words A, I,
is, my, the, go and see.
Please make sure to review
these words at home.
In math we have been
learning about story prob-
lems and how to tell them.
The students have been
making up stories about
their families and are real-
ly enjoying it!
In Writers Workshop
we are continuing to write
using labeling. The stu-
dents created stories
about their families and
labeled the members of
their families as well as

Our learning stations
were all Halloween related
this week. The students
especially enjoyed the math
station, where they
graphed and sorted Hallow-
een fruit snacks.! I will be
sending out the new sign up
rade at 1:45. Please follow

We finished up our first
science unit We Are All
Scientists on Wednesday.
The students did a fabulous
job creating their Science
Notebooks, which were
sent home on Tuesday.
Our Positivity Project is
going well so far! The stu-
dents have been learning a
lot about positive character
traits. So far we have
learned about Curiosity,
Teamwork/Citizenship,
Open Mindedness, Creativi-
ty, and Perspective. It is
amazing how well they are
able to understand these
traits! They often point
out when a classmate is Volume 1, Issue 8
demonstrating one of our
positive behavior traits, Friday,
