Personal Statement

Myself: My name is Noman Ahmad and I belong to a well-settled family that has clear focus on
the successful academic and professional career. My familys studious culture has always been a
great source of inspiration for me to excel in my life and become a successful human resource
(both academically and professionally). Since my primary education, I have always been an
energetic, passionate and enthusiastic student. My enthusiasm has won several times
appreciations by worthy teachers, friends and family.

Education & Professional Career: I have done My Intermediate (Higher Secondary School
Certification) with pre-engineering subjects including Mathematics, chemistry and physics with
good grades from Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education D.G Khan in 2015. Before
that I have done O level with scoring very good grades in major subjects like Physics (A),
chemistry (B), Mathematics (B) and Computer sciences (B). From learning computer science
and mathematics during my O levels a keen interest regarding information technology was
developed in me thats why I decided to excel in the same related field known to me. Ialso have
very good understanding of English language andmy overall IELTS score is 6.0.

Future Goal: My long term goal is to pursue career as Bachelor of Computer Science. The
Bachelor of Computer Science will equip me with the knowledge, understanding and skills
required to build a career as an expert of Computer technology, hardware & software, as well as
computer communication and network management. For this I have decided to study
Foundation Studies of Computer Sciences in Engineering Stream that will lead to Bachelor
of Computer Science atLa Trobe Melbourne University, Melbourne Australia.

Thorough Investigation of my Study Option in Pakistan: I have made thorough research

about BSC in computer science course in the reputed Universities of Pakistan, e.g. University of
the Punjab, COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Fast University,National University of
Sciences and Technology (NUST), University of Engineering and Technology (UET) etc. No doubt
all of these are offering the above course but unfortunately none of them have an international
recognition. Secondly the Pakistani education system is still lacking behind in research and
Technology.

Professional Study From Australia: Before deciding to study in Australia, I made thorough
research (on internet with reliable resources like blogs, websites) about famous international
study destinations (e.g. USA, Canada, UK etc) and after satisfaction, selected Australia as the
most suitable study destination for me to further education. For this purpose, I also met with
many of my teachers and got their valued comments. They also encouraged me to study in
Australia as its education system is world-wide recognized for quality education, especially in
Computer Sciences & Information Technology. Australian Universities deliver practical and

Course: My course consists of Foundation studies leading to Bachelor of Computer Sciences. At

stage one for Foundation of Computer Sciences; my course will be comprised of two Trimesters.
In these trimesters I will have a chance to study, Academic Communication, Advanced Math,
Physics, Essential Math, Independent learning. These courses will help me get the better
understanding of these modules.
Upon completion of this foundation course, I will move on to Bachelor of Computer Science at
La Trobe University Melbourne Campus. I will have the opportunity to study object-orientated
programming, Java and C++, computer systems and design. I will also study databases, artificial
intelligence, computer architecture, networks, multimedia systems and games technology. The
diversity of this foundation will open up to a world of career opportunities.

Facilities: The Melbourne campus offers a safe and friendly environment while study. It is a self-
contained student-oriented locality where everything i need is within easy walking distance. In
addition to the multi-story library and student bookshop, there are full banking facilities, a
medical Centre, shops and markets, copy and design Centre, hairdressing salon, childcare
facilities, a world-class art gallery, state-of-the-art gymnasium and fitness centre and many
active sports clubs and societies.There are at least 11 different eateries, including cafs, canteens

Professional level. On successful completion of this course I shall be able to make my career in a
wide range of computer based fields like Analyst (Information Technology), Computer Engineer,
Information Technology Support Technician, Computer Administrator, Network & System
Administrator, Programmer, Systems Analyst, Systems Designer.
Business Scope: Today computers, networks and systems are the power engines behind all
industries, from finance; to medical; to telecommunications and retail. We rely on these systems
to do our jobs, shopping and banking amongst other things, so when things stop working it is
vital that we have somebody to turn to. A qualification in Computer Sciences will allow me to be
part of the support network that is so important to all businesses/industries to keep their
systems up and running.

To prepare myself for the field of CS I have begun to read into topics related. Keeping up with
the business news through the Guardian and BBC news websites, my interest in the field grew.

I am a genuine student, never involved in violation/violence of law and declare not to breach
immigration rules whilst studying in Australia. I have strong ties to Pakistan that will compel me
to come back within specified period of time. I have neither any political commitment in
Pakistan nor intention to overstay in Australia. I have no immigration history to consider that
may be beneficial or adverse to my application, therefore this aspect is not related to my
application. My circumstances in Pakistan are good. I have no attraction to economic
opportunities in Australia.

There are boundless opportunities to further development of my career in Pakistan. It is

essential for me to get into the ring as early as possible and keep side by side with the new
opportunities. I have made calculations that the costs involved in my course would definitely
give me high returns in the shape of reputable managerial level job in a multinational firm in the
field of computing Like Nestle Pakistan, Procter & gamble Pakistan and Toyota Motors etc.
According to my research and reviews of job ads in newspapers the multinational firms prefers
foreign qualified individual for jobs in the field of computing&informational technology because
of developed countrys research and update knowledge in the field of Information Technology.
I consider myself a suitable applicant for studying in Australia. I request your good self to
consider my student visa application with positive outcome and provide me opportunity to
enhance my career through quality professional education from Australia.

My parents are sponsoring me to study in Australia. My Father is doing job. He is working as

foreman (scaffolding/Rigging) in KapcoKotAddu Power Company limited. From his financial
resources of jod salary and Rental Properties; his monthly income is Rs 220,000. My mother has
also get rental income monthly Rs. 225,000 from the inherited property she got from her
parents. The total monthly income of my parents is Rs.445,000. They have deposited Rs 4.0
Million ($52,000) in my account at Soneri Bank; whereas my outstanding expenses are $ 29,219.

Studying Bachelor of Science in Computer course in Australia will have various positive
aspects on my life, including: increased future opportunities, professional growth and career
