Rehearsal :Jive Samba 3 Teacher/Conductors Name: Ashton Bethel

Prior Knowledge/Skills (What do they already know and can do?):


Students can perform most of the rhythms in Jive Samba accurately, but still struggle
with rhythms with ties on them. The ensemble can also perform the chart with some
style, but its rather inconsistent.

Rehearsal Objective (What will your students be able to do as a result of this rehearsal with
you?)
Students will perform m.85-86 with 80% rhythmic accuracy
Students will perform the Jive Samba rhythm page (through echoing), with 95%
rhythmic accuracy

Assessment of the Rehearsal (How will you know if your students can do what they need to?
Self reflection: rating Scale (1-5) or thumbs up/down
Assessment is occurring throughout each time the student perform a task
Primary assessment of the rehearsal will occur at the end of rehearsal where Ss will
perform 84-end.
