Entry 5: Lesson Plan Format

Lesson Plan Format Teacher/Conductors Name: Ashton Bethel

Rehearsal : Jive Samba 5

Prior Knowledge/Skills (What do they already know and can do?): Students can perform this
section with about 70-80% accuracy, but its rather inconsistent. The goal of this rehearsal is to
refine the section one last time for those who are still unsure. In addition, we will also clean up
the second ending and perform the first ending.

Rehearsal Objective (What will your students be able to do as a result of this rehearsal with
you?)
Students will refine the rhythms in measures 84-89 with 90% accuracy
Students will perform the second ending with 80% rhythmic accuracy
Students will perform the first ending with correct style
