Project Goal

Revise current in-person training to an asynchronous online module within Adobe

Captivate and deliver in MBALearns (LMS).

Problem/Opportunity Definition

Current training delivered by Dr. Mike is a challenge to schedule with all the various
work groups in the aquarium. Learning transfer has not occurred within the Husbandry
Dept. as workers have been observed not practicing the preventative measures
recommended in the current training. There are no systems of accountability as there
exists a lack of clear expectations and requirements. There exists certain cavalier
attitudes toward adopting preventative practices(wearing gloves and washing hands) by
some workers.

Proposed Solution

1. In-person session facilitated for Husbandry Dept. workers to identify attitudinal

barriers, address, and mitigate them through constructive group discussions and
problem-solving activities. The session will also introduce new requirements for
using prescribed safety measures (wearing gloves).

2. Work with managers to develop accountability/recognition systems in support of

training.

3. Develop a 1-hour, online training course to increase knowledge and awareness

of zoonotic disease risks and exposure. Deliver the course within MBALearns.
