- Architecture Driving The Development is a slogan of one of

. the biggest projects of the ARCH Moscow exhibition. The
: - idea is clear: if anyone knows how to come up with new
, , products for consumers in the field of construction, it will
. - certainly be an architect. Business cant progress without
. innovation it will stagnate.
, : So we can specify: the architecture is driving the devel-
. opment. If we consider this slogan in the context of the
NEXT!, , exhibition NEXT!, it becomes obvious, that such a drive
doesnt only concern architecture as a field of knowledge
, . and a competence, but also as its update.
, . First of all it refers to architects themselves. New ar-
. chitects, who will replace previous generation, graduate
, from high schools every year. They enter the market of
, architectural services with new views that are based on
, the reality that drastically differs from the times when
. 20 , their predecessors studied and worked. Over the past
. 20 years Russia has changed and not only Russia. Young
, . people travel abroad and can observe how the urban plan-
ning develops in other countries. New generation freely
, navigates in digital space, while the old generation uses a
- . computer only for technical drawing. Young specialists got
- 25 used to a great choice of opportunities 25 years ago it
. , sounded like a dream. Its obvious today that there will be
. another architecture and another city. So we can make
: one more conclusion: ARCH Moscow NEXT! exhibition is

Welcome to the Arch Moscow International Exhibition that

, demonstrates a highest level of professional discourse every
year and sets the main urban planning and architectural trends.
. Today, Moscow pursues large-scale goals in the field of urban
development. The change in the approaches is aimed at the
. formation of a qualitatively new, modern level of the residential
environment and its diversity. At the initiative of the Mayor
. Sergey Sobyanin in 2015, the Moscow Architectural Committee
2015 developed standards for the design of mass housing. In the
. list of criteria for housing projects are the urban flexibility of
residential complexes, providing for varying the number of floors,
, full-scale angular sections, the possibility of free planning of the
, , apartments, and commercial first floors. The focus of the city
, authorities is still on the integrated landscaping, creation of a
. comfortable environment for work and life, renovation of the
- abandoned industrial areas and creation of residential quarters,
, sports and cultural facilities in their place with introduction of
, , new jobs. The Moscow Architectural Committee treats this type
, of projects as carefully as the structures of urban importance,
. which can significantly improve the quality of life and provide
functional objects with expressiveness and aesthetics.

, development of the capital and the formation of a comfortable
, living environment that can be solved only by analyzing domestic

ARCH Moscow NEXT!, the professional community voted to
nominated me Architect of 2016 and granted me the right
2016 to hold a personal exhibition at this years festival. It is a
great honour for me to hold a personal exhibition at this
. . years festival in this capacity.
, Looking for ways to uphold the recognition voiced by
professionals before a wider audience, we have decided to
, give a retrospective overview of Studio 44 Architects work
44 . through architectural models. Models are a very special
; genre of project design. They are easy to understand not
, , just for the architectural community and they, probably,
provide the clearest idea of the architectural concept and
. even of the way it has been implemented in reality.
The personal exhibition served as a good reason to bring
, together the models made during the forty years of
1978 2017 . practice from 1978 to 2017. Some of them were stored

, archives; some belong to the clients and we had to bring
. them from all over Russia. On the first day of exhibition, we
, ourselves will see them all at once for the first time and
