Desde 1960, Sigdo Koppers ha sido parte del crecimiento de Chile,
contribuyendo al desarrollo de los sectores industrial, minero, de
energa e infraestructura. Con el correr de los aos incorporamos

el Grupo est formado por empresas lderes en sus respectivos

Sigdo Koppers es uno de los ms dinmicos e importantes

burstil chileno desde octubre de 2005, formando parte del

Uno de los focos estratgicos de Sigdo Koppers es fomentar la
innovacin como pilar de crecimiento futuro. A lo largo de su
historia, se ha ubicado a la vanguardia de la industria mediante
la incorporacin de nuevas tcnicas en sus operaciones,
mejorando sistemticamente la seguridad, productividad y
calidad de sus servicios. Esto se suma a inversiones como
las compaas SK Ecologa y ms recientemente SK Godelius
que tienen por objetivo desarrollar tecnologas que apoyen
las operaciones del Grupo y la industria.
SK Godelius es una empresa de ingeniera y soluciones tecnolgicas
de alta complejidad que adems de brindar servicios al mercado,
se encuentra desarrollando proyectos en conjunto con otras filiales
del Grupo. Estos se basan principalmente en la automatizacin y
robtica que permitiran hacer viables actividades de forma segura,
productiva y rentable para los clientes. Cabe destacar su experiencia
en la implementacin de telecomando en faenas mineras, que permite
operar maquinaria pesada a distancia, evitando la exposicin a
diversos riesgos, tanto operacionales como ambientales, reduciendo
los ndices de accidentabilidad y alcanzando aumentos relevantes
de productividad.
Por su parte, SK Ecologa, filial de Ingeniera y Construccin Sigdo
Koppers, brinda soluciones en el mbito medioambiental a travs de
asesoras, servicios y productos que van desde energa fotovoltaica
a control de derrames en agua y tierra, con el fin de proteger el
ambiente. Entre sus investigaciones ms recientes, se encuentra
un estudio para construir plantas de generacin de energa a travs
de Biogs, obtenido de la fermentacin de substancias orgnicas
sin presencia de aire.
El Grupo fomenta la inversin sistemtica en innovacin en todas
sus compaas, en reas donde agregue valor al negocio. Esto se
ha abordado mediante desarrollos propios, convenios de licencias
e intercambio tecnolgico con empresas lderes en el rubro,

productos y optimizan el proceso de los clientes.
El Grupo tambin promueve la bsqueda constante de soluciones
para disminuir los eventuales impactos ambientales generados por
las operaciones del negocio. En esta lnea y tras la incorporacin de
tecnologas en su planta Prillex, Enaex lleva a cabo desde 2011 el
proyecto de Bonos de Carbono bajo el protocolo de Kyoto y Naciones
Unidas, reduciendo anualmente cerca de 800.000 toneladas de CO2,
siendo la iniciativa ms importante de su tipo en Chile.

innovation as a pillar of future growth. Throughout its history,
the company has been at the vanguard of the industry through
the incorporation of new techniques in its operations,
systematically improving safety, productivity, and service
quality. This is in addition to investments in companies such
as SK Ecologa and more recently SK Godelius, where the
objective is to develop technologies that support the Group
and the industry.
SK Godelius is an engineering firm that provides complex technological
solutions and services to the market. The company is also developing
projects in conjunction with other Group subsidiaries, mainly
in automation and robotics, which increase the viability, safety,
productivity, and profitability of clients activities. In particular,
the company has extensive experience in the mining industry in the
implementation of teleoperation systems for the remote operation
of heavy machinery, thereby avoiding exposure to a number of
operational and environmental risks, reducing the accident rates,
and significantly increasing productivity.
SK Ecologa, a subsidiary of Ingeniera y Construccin Sigdo Koppers,
provides environmental solutions through consulting services and
products ranging from photovoltaic energy to the control of water and
land spills, with a focus on environmental protection. The companys
most recent research projects include a study on the construction
of Biogas energy generation plants, based on the fermentation of
organic substances in an anaerobic environment.
The Group promotes the systematic investment in innovation in all
its companies, in areas that add value to the business. This has
been achieved through in-house research and development, licensing
agreements, and technological sharing with leading companies in
the sector.
One example is Magotteaux, which allocates approximately US$6
million a year to investment in research. The company has
multidisciplinary teams located in different parts of the world, which
are in charge of analyzing the different needs of the markets where
they operate and determining the focus of the innovation department.
In particular, the R&D teams in Australia and Chile have centered
their research on the interactions between grinding media and the
mineral flotation process, in order to increase metal recovery. The
company is a pioneer in the use of composite materials for casting
wear parts, starting with the first-generation Xwin. The company
has continued its research on this technology, which resulted in
the development of the composite XCC, with new ceramic beads
that increase the product yield and optimize the users processes.
The Group also promotes the constant search for solutions to reduce
the potential environmental impacts generated by its business
operations. For example, since 2011, Enaex has implemented a
carbon credit project under the United Nations Kyoto Protocol,
reducing CO2 emissions at its Prillex plant by around 800,000 tons
a year. This is the most important initiative of its kind in Chile.

SKBerg es el mayor distribuidor en Chile, en trminos de
ventas valoradas, resultado de una eficiente gestin comercial,
el compromiso de largo plazo con las marcas que representa
y la confianza que ofrece a sus clientes, a travs de altos
estndares de atencin y servicio. En Per, la compaa tambin
ha consolidado su posicin de liderazgo, siendo uno de los tres
mayores importadores de ese pas.
Para dar soporte a su operacin en Chile, la empresa posee modernas
instalaciones logsticas en Noviciado, comuna de Pudahuel, donde se
llevan a cabo labores de almacenaje de vehculos, procesos de pre
entrega, desabolladura y pintura, adems de contar con un centro
de distribucin de repuestos de 7.000 m2. El Centro Logstico de
Noviciado posee 24 hectreas, con una capacidad diseada para
almacenar 9.300 autos y procesar ms de 200 vehculos al da.
SKBerg adems est presente en el negocio de financiamiento
automotriz, mediante su participacin indirecta en Santander
Consumer Finance Chile y Per.

SKBerg is the licensed distributor for a wide range of premium
brands, with an extensive network of sales, parts, and service
centers in Chile, Peru, Argentina, and Colombia. The companys vast
experience in the automotive market dates to 1986, when it began
distributing the Italian brands Fiat and Lancia in Chile. Since then,
the company has continued to grow through its association with the
Spanish company Berg Automocin in 2001, the incorporation of
new brands, and a strategy centered on regional growth.
Sigdo Koppers owns a share of SKBerg through its subsidiary
SK Inversiones Automotrices S.A. (SKIA), which controls 40% of
SKBerg. SKIA does not consolidate the financial statements of
SKBerg, so the net earnings of SKBerg S.A. are recognized under
Share in Income of Associates and Joint Ventures.
SKBerg is the largest distributor in Chile in terms of revenues,
as a result of an efficient commercial management, a long-term
commitment with the brands it represents, and a reputation
of reliability achieved through high standards of customer
service and support. In Peru, the company has also consolidated
its leading position in the industry, ranking among the three largest
importers in the country.
To support its operations in Chile, the company has a modern logistics
facility in Noviciado, an area of Pudahuel (Santiago), which handles
vehicle storage, pre-delivery processes, bodywork, and painting and
has a 7,000 m2 parts distribution center. The Noviciado Logistics
Center covers 24 hectares, with a designed capacity for storing
9,300 autos and processing over 200 vehicles a day.
SKBerg is also involved in automobile financing through indirect
ownership of Santander Consumer Finance in Chile and Peru
