 Project Abstract

As for medical plane there are some exertions has to be prevailed over for making
the quality of treatment to be elevated. So there are three different levels of changes has
been concentrated to enhance level of hospitalization. Patients health data assortment
(PHDA) is the device to be initialized in all the hospitals where the patients can fill up their
details, problems they face and the token will be issued by the device including doctors
Name and room number. Simultaneously it is indicated to doctor through app. The next
level of concentration will be on sensing the drips level and oxygen level and have
intimation to assigned personality through the app. The next point of attention will be on
emergency situations. Where the attendees in ambulance will upload the patients level
of situation and the details through an app to the nearby hospitals, so they can do the
required arrangements earlier.

Market Analysis

A. Customer Need Identification

In India there are 35,416 Government hospitals and 24,448 Private
hospitals. Some of the technical interventions includes(i)In government hospitals
doctors are not available at all the time and they are not punctual in certain
 situations. Now when our device is implemented, doctors have to login their
account which captures there in and out timings.(ii)The OP details are collected,
stored and retrieved using PHDA device which improves the accuracy of the
collected details.(iii)When the level of saline water is very low, blood reversal and
injury takes place when the nurse is fast asleep or at unconditional situations. With
our device the level can be sensed and controlled.(iv) The level of oxygen gas in
the oxygen cylinder can be detected andthis avoids death in ICU.

B. Serviceable Addressable Market (SAM) Identification & Justification

According to our analysis, we identified our customers as hospitals. TAM (Total

Addressable Market) includes hospitals all over India. There are 563 rural and urban
Government Hospitals (www.tn.gov.in>deptst>medicalandhealth) in all over Tamil
Nadu. Serviceable Addressable Market (SAM) is a part of TAM that can be reached
by us. We determine our market size using bottom-up methodology and accurately we
identified our SAM as 563 Government Hospitals in Tamil Nadu and interested private
hospitals.

C. Product Differentiation w.r.t. Competition & Justification

In market there is no such hardware device which enables the patient to fill up
their details and automatically forwards the collected data to the doctor. Our product
is unique because a single device (PHDA) can give solution to three different
problems in same environment. Our innovation reduces the man made errors and
accuracy can be increased. Thus our product stands different from others.
 D. Understanding of your customer & user

According to our B2B (Business-Business) marketing methodology, our

customers and users are all the Government and interested Private hospitals. As we
finalize all the customers as hospitals and there is no moderation is required based
on the customers. They just need to update their management with our PHDA device
and some software should be installed in their respective systems and mobile. Thus
our product enables ease of adoption for hospitals.

E. Distribution Channel Identification

The In store operations and the benefits of our product can be demonstrated in
any associations for government and private hospitals like IMA(Indian Medical
Association).
Our product can be marketed by visiting hospitals directly by our marketing team
and we can encourage the hospitals to use our product by demonstrating its
efficiency and uses.
Our product can be advertised through mass media and websites.

Proposed Design
A. Objective
Our Smart Hospitals-E Medico Management System aims to increase the
accuracy of the OP details by using PHDA and to make the process easier. Its goal is
to reduce the death rate due to accidents that take place in ICU due to insufficient
oxygen and leakage of oxygen. It also reduces the injury due to insufficient level of
saline water in the drip. Our product also focuses to get the details about the
emergency patient from the ambulance to respective hospitals on time which
increases the life span of the victim.

B. Proposed Solution

Patients Health Data Assortment (PHDA) is the device to be initialized in all the
hospitals where the patients can register and login with their credentials and fill up with
the details of the problems they face. Based on diagnosing the health problems and
arriving time of the patient the token will be issued by the device including the details of
appointment number, doctors name and room number to be visited. Simultaneously the
other indication to be passed to the doctor through mobile app which can have the patient
details. The user login can be reused for future by updating the problem details and the
prescription attached with it.

The next level of concentration will be on sensing the drips level and oxygen level
and the same to be intimated to the responsible personality through messages and
alarms. The knob of drip bottle closes automatically in unconditional situations or when
the drip level reaches the empty. This ensures the safety and death rate reduction in ICU.

We focused on emergency situations where the attendees in ambulance will be

checking with the patients level of situation and the details will be uploaded through an
app to the admin in respective nearby government hospitals. So the admin can do the
required arrangements based on the patients details uploaded, so that the required
treatment can be provided once the patients reach the hospital. This saves the patients
life and brings about reduction in mortality rate.

Innovativeness of the Proposed Solution

Patient can enter their details along with symptoms in a screen which is available
in PHDA device. Which reduces the human error and waiting time. PHDA device
senses the temperature,height and weight of the patient and generates a unique id
to the patient along with doctors name, room number. The patient details forwards
the same information to doctors screen login. This reduces the time consumption
and efficiency of the process is increased. Further any reference the doctor can
search the patient details by using the patient id.

Monitoring the level of oxygen and saline water in the Drip bottle is the greatest
challenge faced by the hospitals today. Our device monitors, regularizes and
simplifies the task. Thus major accidents due reduction in oxygen in cylinder and
blood reversal in drip bottle is reduced to great extension.

During emergency, the details of the patient, ambulance id and conditions of the
patient are sent to the emergency care unit in hospitals through the medico app.
In addition to that the approximate time to reach the hospital and distance also to
be send the hospital. So that the arrangements are made before the patient
reaches the hospital.

Impact of the proposed solution

Our privilege is that we are truly on-demand. Our product is desperately needed in
all hospitals so we have multiple opportunities for sales. There are nearly 89,016
hospitals in India and if 25% of total hospital accepts our product the Income level
increases gradually. Our innovation reduces the manpower in hospitals. This leads to
reduction in labor charges. Thus increases the Indian GDP by raising the income of
the government and private hospitals. The assurance that our product meet the
diverse needs of patients and hospitals and the raise in income are the impacts of our
proposed solution.
