Are they as good as Leiber's stuff? If you're the kind of reader who enjoys fantasy stories with fight scenes, epic one-liners, and dramatic scenes, I
feel that ANY Gotrek and Felix novel will make you feel right at home. The entire book is just the pair making their way through the land and
having squirmishes with wild mutants, crazy sorcerers, and all kinds of things t hat go bump in the night. Just a moment while we sign you in to your

mighty-thewed Dwarvish o Good bloody fun. Gotrek is a slayer, a dwarf whom has lost his honor and has brought shame to his family, he has
sworn to find his doom fighting only the strongest of opponents. There's not much to say about them as they're really nothing special, just a bunch
of raucous fantasy stories to help pass the time in an enjoyable, non-thought provoking, manner. While Gotrek and Felix are well portrayed, they
are little more than vehicles for writing about the campaign world. Dec 04, Gabe Quinn added it. In this time of peril, by virtue of his valorous
deeds, a young man claims leadership of the Unberogen tribe. And who is this William King person anyway? Gotrek the dwarf trollslayer and his
companion Felix are Black Library's most popular fantasy duo. Chronicling his exploits is human poet Felix Jaeger, a fugitive from the authorities
who only has to stay alive to tell the tale. Most of the new supportign characters at this point are as compelling and interesting as Gotrek and Felix
- or more so and add much needed depth and alternative viewpoints to those of the title characters. Feb 09, David rated it it was amazing Shelves:

three books went on the author seemed to better find his voice and to set tone with description rather than direct statement. I only read the first
book of the series, "Trollslayer" and liked it although I didn't want to. This is one badass dwarf. The crucial difference is that he uses archetypes to
highlight the differences and similarities between his two protagonists in particular. Gotrek is a one-dimensional killing machine but he has funny
lines. Which from a dramatic point is far more interesting. Much better written than it appears from a first look. To help, we provided some of our
favorites. In no way is this a good book, but it is a gun book. The books flow naturally from one to the other and the supporting cast is by this
point fully delevloped and in many places far more interesting and compelling than the main characters. This book is basically short stories of that
journey, it's very formulaic. Can't get enough about books, music, and movies? It was the second Warhammer novel I read and I was completely
drawn into the story. Still the Warhammer setting is interesting and Gotrek is such a cool badass character that it kept me going. Namely the one
focusing on the POV of Thanquol. Colourful and a little crude in places it's nevertheless a fun read for fantasy fans who don't always demand
clever subplots or advanced characterisation. After a series of nasty accidents, it becomes clear that saboteurs are at work - can our heroes find
the villains in time to save the day? Has the doom Felix has sworn to record finally come? There are no discussion topics on this book yet. Andrew

home city as a wealthy merchant with his family. The only problem with that is that he keeps winning all of his battles. They soon become friends
and Felix eventually finds out that Gotrek is a Slayer; a dwarf seeking out a heroic death in battle to pay for a past crime. Sign up for LibraryThing

which serve to demonstrate how good William Kings writing is. I personally liked the change, however I did miss the little comments on Felix's
part, going over what happened in between.
