What the teacher does
Introducing the Sound:
The teacher put a train with voice and start the
lesson by saying a story, she said the train is
moving to collect some items, then the train is
start moving, and collect one tiger, tv and teddy
bear.
The teacher ask the students if they notice any
similarity between the words, then she told
them that the similar is the letter T, and the
sound of the letter is T.
After that the teacher show them a videos and
the videos is about tiger, and she brining a toy
thats in tiger shape so this tiger goes to each
students and each students have to say the
words tiger, then ask the whole class.
After that she showed them a video contain a
teddy bear, after that she bought a big teddy
bear and s ask about the size of the teddy if its
a big or small, and let each one touch it and say
the word.
Then she showed them e video contains a TV,
an ask them what is it? And let each student say
the word TV.

Introducing the Writing of the Sound:
The teacher explains that she is going to show
the children how to write sound T, and give the
children the rules, to focus on her.
She draws 3 guidelines on the whiteboard and

Reflections on Observation Task 2: Teaching a Phonics Lesson

1. What program is used in your school to teach phonics?

- For clarifying, my teacher uses a video showing the sound for each letter, then
they let them do the sound with an action, that videos find out in YouTube, after
that, she shows them a flash card that introduce the word that start with same
letter.
2. How is phonics taught in your school?
My MST make a PowerPoint, start teaching the phonics with story, and bring real
objects, items that start with the sound, let the children touch it and say the name of item,
with saying the sound and doing the actions.
3. What was the focus of the lesson?
- My MST was focusing of letting the children learns the write sound, so she make sure
that everyone said the sound correctly, and she always focus on teaching the children the
new three vocab.

teacher used.
The children engaged by seeing the real object and touch them, then basses
them between each other and say the words and singing with doing the
actions.

students did.
Low level students, they has a card and they have to do the \t\
sounds with playdough and sand box.
Students who is in the medium level they practice to write a huge
letter T, then draw the words that they learn in the lesson ( TV -
tiger and teddy).
Students who is in the high they will write letter T, and they have
picture of TV and stick picture start with letter t on the TV.
