DISCUSSIONS

From the observations at the electrical wiring, we can tell that there are three important
devices in the distribution box miniature circuit breaker (MCB), earth leakage circuit
breaker (ELCB) and moulded case circuit breaker (MCCB). All these three devices are
essential to electrical wiring as they have one general function, which is to protect all
electrical appliances from damages and electric consumers from electric shock when
electrical fault takes place.

We can also see that the appliances are equipped with earth wire, so that any hazards
that bring dangerous high voltage to the appliances can be removed as the electric current is
grounded. The devices are also equipped with neutral wire and live wire, which functions are
to complete the circuit thus providing path back to the electrical panel, and to carry current to
the electrical appliances at high voltage, respectively.
