LESSON AIMS: By the end of the lesson, the students will be able:
- To introduce themselves;
- To talk and write about their country or hometown
- To talk and write about their school or class
- To talk and write about their favourite music, band, films,
- To use the previously acquired knowledge of Present Simple and words related to the topic.
- To make up sentences and short paragraphs using the acquired grammar and vocabulary
structures;
EVALUATION:
- continue through activities, observation, error correction;
- final through feedback.

ACTIVITY 1: ORGANIZATIONAL MOMENT (1)
AIMS: - to assure the introductive part of the lesson
PROCEDURE: The teacher enters the class, greets the students, asks about the absentees and writes them
down.

ACTIVITY 2: WARM UP (2)


AIMS: - to make the transition from the organisational moment to the main part of the lesson;
- to assure a proper atmosphere for the next activity.
PROCEDURE: The teacher announces the topic and the aim of the new lesson. By the end of the lesson
the students should be able to use the previously acquired knowledge of the tenses and vocabulary in
different types of contexts and in conversations. The students should be able to make a project about
themselves.

ACTIVITY 3: PRE READING (5)


AIMS: - to get the students involved in the topic;
- to enrich the students general knowledge and make interdisciplinary connections;
- to encourage the students to state their opinion.
PROCEDURE: Before reading the text, the teacher asks students to look at the pictures from their
textbooks.. The teacher asks questions:
How many people are in the first picture?
Where are they?
Where is the second picture taken?
What do you think the third paragraph is about?
Do you recognise the singer in the last picture?

AIMS: - to familiarize the students with the text;

PROCEDURE: The teacher asks the students to start writing the paragraphs individually, basing their

writing on the work from previous units and having in mind the previously discussed lists of ideas, but
also guiding themselves after the headings and the paragraphs presented in their textbooks.
When finished, the students are asked to look at each others written work and make suggestions.
The teacher asks them to read out their presentation and corrects their mistakes. The students are now
encouraged to put together their project and to be as creative as possible with the content and layout. They
have to work in group and stick their written work on a large piece of cardboard, together with drawings
or pictures of themselves and other things they have written about. They can also go around and look at
each others projects.

ACTIVITY 7: EVALUATION (5)


AIMS: - to increase students self-confidence and to encourage them in their study of English.
PROCEDURE: - Students present their work on the flipchart. The teacher appreciates students activity
verbally and praises their performance. The final version of their projects will be displayed around the
classroom.
