1. What are the differences between geotechnical engineer and a geologist?

A Geotechnical Engineer determines and designs the type of foundations, earthworks and pavement
subgrades required for the intended man-made structures to be built and Geologist is a scientist who
studies the solid and liquid matter that constitutes the earth as well as the process that shape it.

2. Research at least 3 structures which have failures because of its foundation.
