With this letter, I hope to express my strong interest in working with Henry Ford Allegiance Health as a
registered nurse on the OB unit. My education and training make me an ideal candidate for this position.

I am currently finishing my nursing degree and am expected to graduate December 16, 2017. I have
done regular clinicals on the OB floor and I am currently doing additional clinical time on the
mother/baby unit with a preceptor to make my transition from student nurse to registered nurse
smooth. I am gaining a significant amount of understanding about how the mother/baby unit runs and
how to be an excellent nurse on this floor by emulating my extremely knowledgeable preceptor. I
believe that this additional education on this unit makes me a desirable candidate for this position and if
given the chance, I believe that I would excel at this position.

My current position as a scribe at all of the St. Joseph Mercy hospitals has given me unlimited
interactions with physicians and the ability to see how the nurses and physicians interact, giving me a
different perspective as I go into my own nursing career. I am able to observe physician interactions
with patients as well as procedures and the physicians thought process about each case. This job has
helped me learn many skills which will be beneficial to me in the future.

My previous experience working as a waitress for Clark Lake Golf Course gave me multitasking and time
management experience. I have an excellent track record of dependability and enthusiasm. Additionally,
my expertise in leadership roles and people skills will make me an excellent addition to your team.
