Quidway S3500
Series Security
Intelligent Switches
Quidway S3500 series routing switches are
box-type layer 3 wire-speeds Ethernet
switches with 10/100M aggregation in
service provider data centers, server cluster,
wiring cabinet and metropolitan area
networks. Quidway S3500 series high
S3528G
performance Ethernet switches include 5
types: S3528G, S3528P, S3552G, S3552P
and S3552F. Running on the VRP (Versatile
Routing Platform) network operating system
designed for Huawei network products,
S3528P
Quidway S3500 series switches provide
abundant routing protocols, VLAN switching,
traffic management, QoS, powerful
bandwidth control and user management.

Key Benefits S3552G/3552P

Full wire-speed, multi-layer switching

Quidway S3500 series offer a 32Gbps
bandwidth to provide the L3 wire-speed
switching capability for all ports of the switch.
The system can offer 4 GE to meet a single
piece of equipments requirement for multiple S3552F
Gigabit uplinks and for access to the Gigabit
server, thus greatly saving the equipment
investment. The equipment can provide a
maximum of 512 subnet route interfaces.
Hardware supports L3 wire-speed switching,
Abundant routing
and can identify and process the application
traffic flows from L4 to L7. All ports have an
protocols
independent data packet filter, and
distinguish different application flows for
different management and control.

Comprehensive security control policies
Based on the longest match routing policy,
Quidway S3500 series forward the packets
one by one so that the packets acquire the
same forwarding performance. This can
guard against the attack by Code Red and
Worm Blaster, thus guaranteeing the
equipment security.

Quidway S3500 series support 802.1x and

Web Portal authentication to identify users
who attempt to access the network. They
can also prevent unauthorized access to the
network by binding any combination of MAC,
IP, VLAN and PORT.

Quidway S3500 series support multiple ACL

policies to set the authorities for users to
access the network resource, so that access
to the network can be controlled.

High reliability
Quidway S3500 series support STP/RSTP
and multi-VLAN based MSTP, thus greatly
improving the redundant backup for links and
the fault tolerance capability, so that the
network can run with continuous stability.

Quidway S3500 series support the optional

Redundant Power System (RPS) and can
provide power redundancy for four pieces
of equipment, thus improving the fault
tolerance capability and normal network
Communication operation duration.

continuity and Quidway S3500 series support Virtual Route

Redundancy Protocol (VRRP), and can build

reliability a VRRP backup group with other L3

switches. They can build a redundant route
topological structure when a fault occurs to

4 Quidway S3500 Series Security Intelligent Switches

guarantee communication continuity and
reliability, so that the network remains stable.

Quidway S3500 series implement

redundant back-up for uplink routes
through configuring multiple equivalent
routes. When the active uplink route
becomes faulty, it will automatically switch
to the next back-up router, thus achieving
multi-level back-up for uplink routes.

Abundant QoS policies

Quidway S3500 series support L2~L7
complex flow classification based on the
source MAC address, the destination MAC
address, the source IP address, the
destination IP address, the port, or protocol.
They can support 1K flow rules.

Quidway S3500 series support flexible

queue scheduling algorithms, which can be
set on the basis of port and queue at the
same time. They support Strict Priority (SP),
Weighted Round Robin (WRR), and
SP+WRR; 8 priority queues and 3 discarding
priorities; WRED congestion avoidance
algorithm and port traffic shaping.

Quidway S3500 series support Committed

Access Rate (CAR), and limit the traffic
speed in the 8Kbit/s granularity. Equipment
Diversified management modes
Quidway S3500 series support Simple management
Network Management Protocol (SNMP), the
general network management platform such becomes more
as Open View, and the Quidview network
management system. They support convenient.
Command Line Interface (CLI), Web network
management, TELNET, and HGMP cluster
management, so that equipment
management becomes more convenient.
