Fare Quote Display

Rules Validation

All fare quote display entries begin with the primary action code FQ.
If you include a carrier code in the entry, the response is a single carrier response. If you
do not include a carrier code in your entry, you get a multi-carrier (or shoppers) response.
The system always validates
Effective date
Discontinue dates
If you include a return date in the entry, the system will always validate
Seasons
Advance Purchase
Blackouts
Minimum/Maximum stay
unless you specify that you do not want the system to validate.
If you do not enter an outbound travel date, the system assumes todays date

you want child and infant fares in the response. Combine these codes in any order.

C = Child
I = Infant
Enter the adult/child/infant qualifiers in a fare quote entry as follows:

Fare displays always include both public and private fares not filed with a corporate ID or
account code. Fares filed with a corporate ID or account code display only when the fare
request includes that specified corporate ID or account code.

Identify Private Fares

Indicators appear in the fare display to help you distinguish negotiated fares from
published fares. These indicators appear to the left of the fare basis codes.

Net fares and redistributed fares are returned only in a net fare display.
They reflect an N or R to the right of the fare amount.

Guidelines for Combining Qualifiers

Qualifier to include a return date (R) is not combinable with the qualifiers to
display one way (OW), round trip (RT) or half round trip (HR) fares.
Qualifier to specify passenger types (P) is not combinable with the qualifiers to
specify a fare basis (Q), a ticket designator (Q/) or adult/child/infant (ACI).
If combining currency qualifier (/) with passenger types (P) or a ticket
designator (Q/), currency qualifier must be entered first.
