Special Response team executed a search ware eid» te following officers were in attendance: Detective David Komacki Detective Alison Metcalfe Detective Stephen Ricardi Detective Sean Knox Sgt. Brian Shamekis, Spt. James Sevigne Officer Stephen Johnson Oflicer Daniel Soares Officer Ricardo Funch Officer David Irwin Officer A.J. Roxo K-9 Officer Michael Whitney K-9 Officer Joseph Brewer (Wilbraham PD) At approximately 5:04 A.M. Ludlow Police Department Special Response team made a breached entry to the residence aay members took positions at the residence and I knocked on the | front door of the home. Officer Soares advised over the radio that a male party was coming to the door, Officer ‘Soares then radiced that the male party had looked out the window and was running to the bedroom. Sgt. ‘Shameklis instructed Sgt. Sevigne to breach the door. At this time, Sgt. ‘Sevigne breached the door using a ram while Officer Soares breached the rear door. The Ludlow Police Dey ‘T announced our presence and reason for being at the residence, Officer Soares called out tc was able to control him with verbal commands, Officer Soares and Officer Funch placec in a ‘was located in the rear bedroom by Officer Knox, brought to the room and placed in handcuffs by Officer Funch, The rest of the residence was cleared by the Ludlow Police Department SRT and ‘no other individuals were found. Once the residence was deemed secure, members of the Ludlow Police Department Detective Bureau >egan a secondary search for evidence. A marijuana "grow room" was located in the rear bedroom of the home. (See images). This room was the same bedroom that was located had come from to ‘come to the front door. This "grow room” was a zip-up closet type room that is specifically designed to grow ‘marijuana. There was also small juvenile plants located under a grow lamp in a laundry basket by the window The "grow room” was disassembled by Detective Kornacki, Items from the" grow room" were seized as evidence, Inside of this grow room were four (4) marijuana plants. All evidence seized from the residence was transported to the Ludlow Police Department where it was tagged and placed into evidence with Evidence Officer Mayou. Digital Images of the evidence seized and residence were taken by Detective Metcalfe. re placed under arrest and transported to the Ludlow Police Department by Officer Roxo and Officer Soares where they were afforded all their rights by Sgt. Nowak.
