The detail items of Optimize option
[ Boot ]
1. Improve Windows and application startup performance by loading application data into memory before it is
demanded.
2. A new memory management technology in Windows, Windows SuperFetch, helps keep the computer
consistently responsive to your programs by making better use of the computer's RAM.
[ System ]
1. Prevent the NTFS log buffer in physical memory from becoming filled with timestamp update records.
2. Determines the interval from the time the cursor is pointed at a menu until the menu items are displayed.
[ Service ]
Stop some service to increase running processes and get more system memory.
1. AppMgmt
2. CertPropSvc
3. CscService
4. iphlpsvc
5. MSiSCSI
6. napagent

11. SCardSvr
12. SCPolicySvc
13. SNMPTRAP
14. TrkWks
15. WMPNetworkSvc
16. wudfsvc
[ Network ]
1. A low number sets a high priority for name resolution. These settings are used for 16-bit Windows Sockets,
which need to rely on the resolvers that are expected to take the least time to resolve host names.
2. Determines whether TCP uses the timestamping and window scaling features described in RFC 1323, TCP
Extensions for High Performance.
[ Visual Effect ] It will disable some of windows visual effects as follow. It comes down to appearance versus
performance.
1. Animate controls and elements inside windows.

Super POSH Specification
Super POSH Engineering Specification Pages:

2. Animate windows when minimizing and maximizing.

3. Animations in the taskbar and Start Menu.
4. Enable Aero Peek.
5. Fade or slide menus into view.
6. Fade or slide ToolTips into view.
7. Fade out menu items after clicking.
8. Save taskbar thumbnail previews.
9. Show shadows under mouse pointer.
10. Show shadows under windows.
11. Show translucent selection rectangle.
12. Show window contents while dragging.
13. Slide open combo boxes.
14. Smooth-scroll list boxes.
[ Shutdown ]
1. Determines whether user processes end automatically when the user either logs off or shuts down.
2. Determines how long the system waits for user processes to end after the user attempts to log off or to shut
down.
3. Specifies how long the system waits for user processes to end after the user clicks the End Task command
button in Task Manager.
4. Determines how long the system waits for services to stop after notifying the service that the system is
shutting down.
