Description of the ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (APIs)

6 Organization of Conference Full points under this category can be claimed by a


(International/National), faculty who has been convener of the
Management Development Conference/MDP/ FDP, other organizing members
Programme, Faculty will be eligible for points on a pro-rata basis.

7 Quality Points - 50 at each level Each Category of I and II are to be separately
scored on quality.

The points on Quality are to be awarded by the


Appriser, Reviewer and Acceptor of the faculty.In
some Cases Reviewer and Acceptor may be the
same individual.

These are to be awarded on the basis of excellence,


method and technique used to meet the requirement
of the job, approach towards the work, flair for
superior performance and ability to provide valued
inputs and results by the faculty throughout all
activities completed in a year.

The quality points as awarded by the Appraiser to


the Faculty is subject to revision by the points
allocated by the Reviewer and further by the
Acceptor.

The final points as received from the Acceptor out of


the total of 50 shall be final and added towards the
computation of the score.
8 CATEGORY-III: RESEARCH The points on Category III are mandatory to be
AND ACADEMIC acquired by faculty who have completed one full
CONTRIBUTIONS appraisal cycle and fall under Category A of Annual
Appraisals. Each Faculty will required to maintain
the minimum API under this category.

It is expected that those faculty who are under the B


& C Category of Annual Appraisal scheme would
also endeavor to earn points under this category,
even though not mandatory.
9 List of Journals In order to ensure quality of publications, the
Colleges have published list of journals, it is
recommended that to score points on PBAS faculty
may refer to this published list. Faculty who has
already published in journals other than this list and
period of appraisal will not be considered for PBAS
submission this year.
Indexed Journals will be given points as applicable
to refereed journals. Appraiser to verify the
publication of papers in journals and periodicals and
restrict publication that is non-indexed and/or
non-refereed.
10 Papers in Conferences/ A faculty is eligible to list upto two
Seminars/workshops etc.** conferences/seminars/workshops in this Category
where he/she has presented a paper in the
AY-2013-14. Additional papers will not be considered
for PBAS submission and such points will not be
considered towards total scores.

Appraiser to review and restrict the points at this level


to a total of two conferences including all conference
categories. Faculty will not be eligible to claim any
points for only attending
conference/workshop/seminar etc.

If a paper presented in Conference/Seminar is


published in the form ofProceedings, the points would
accrue for the publication and not underpresentation
category.

For clarity of understanding following is defined to


distinguish the Conference level:

International Conference # is organized outside


India or when in India involves an international
partner/national body of reputation and has at least
25+ no. of participation of foreign delegates

National Conference - is organized by Central


University or institution or Govt. or Pvt. Bodies of
national repute

State Level # is organized by State level


University or institution or govt. or pvt. State level
bodies and association

Regional /Local - is organized by institutions,


govt. or private bodies within the territory of
Dehradun and has the flagship of local bodies
or associations.
