Pit Bulls Should Be Allowed To Be Kept As Pets

Every year in the US, more than 6 million lost, abandoned or unwanted dogs and

cats enter animal shelters. Peta.org. Most of these animals are dogs Most of the

breeds are Pit Bulls. Nobody wants them because they think the dog is mean or

vicious. Another problem is Pit Bulls arent allowed to live in certain places. That is

completely unfair because owners are forced to give up their dog and sometimes cant

buy a place because that breed isnt allowed. Imagine if that was your pet, ending up

in a shelter because its stopping you from living in a house or apartment. Pit Bulls

should be allowed to be kept as pets anywhere.

First of all, Pit Bulls are lovable, friendly dogs, they are not killers. Throughout the 19th

century and early 20th century, Pit Bulls were commonly known as The Nanny Dog

because of their love and devotion for children. TheTruthAboutPitbulls.blogspot.com.

Then, people had to start breeding them and teaching them violence and use them for
violent activities and for their own enjoyment. People started this so people should be

the ones to end this! Some of you may say this breed is a killer breed. I understand

why you might think this but, all dogs are capable of biting and being mean. Every pet

you own has the possibility of being mean. It really all depends on the human and the

dogs relationship.

Therefore, Pit Bulls are not mean. It depends on the way they were raised. If you raise

a dog with love and care it is going to give you love and care right back. If you are

harmful and ignore your dog it is going to start misbehaving. Everybody needs love and

that includes Pit Bulls. If a human is raised by abusive and mean people, im sure

they would be mean and think everyone they see is like that too. There is really no

way to get around this issue. The way a dog acts is a reaction of how it was trained

and treated.

Pit Bulls are just as lovable as any other dog. Growing up I have lived with two Pit

Bulls. They are still around and they were both rescued from horrible situations. These

two have never bitten, attacked or been mean to anyone or any animal they have

been by. My nephew has been around these dogs his whole life and he can climb on

them, hug them and play with them. I know that in most news stories Pit Bulls are

attacking children so, you probably wont believe me. I think little dogs are more
snippy because they are scared of everything but, you dont see them getting ban from

states. They just want affection and to feel like they belong. Their feelings get hurt

easily but they will always be loyal to the ones they love.

Most people are still going to pull the Pit Bulls are mean and shouldnt be allowed as

pets because they bite and attack people card. The news is known for blowing things

out of proportion. First of all, that is how they get their views no matter how bad they

have to make something look. Second of all, any dog can bite. Any dog

can bark and be mean, as stated before. Lastly, a dog will only bite or

attack if it feels threatened. The owner could be the problem, not the dog. Pit Bulls

should be allowed to be kept as pets and be allowed anywhere.

As a result, Pit Bulls are lovable, friendly dogs, they are not killers. Pit Bulls are not

mean, it depends on how they were raised and how they are treated. They are just

like any other dog on this Earth. This is why Pit Bulls should be allowed to be kept

as pets. If everyone could come together and understand that these are loyal, fun

dogs, they wouldnt be as judged based on what a couple of dogs have done. You

cannot hate or judge every dog you see because of a story you may not fully know.

Everyone needs to understand a dog is a dog. It cant be held accountable for every

mistake it makes. If a Pit happens to attack, its only because it had a motive, not

because it just felt like it.
