A Visit to Kishori Vikas Educational Camp

On Tuesday, 26th September, as a part of our CSR initiative, a group of enthusiastic Hyderabad vaulters
visited an Educational Camp at Shishu Mandir School, Saroor Nagar, Hyderabad. It was the closing
ceremony of a 5-day camp organized by Seva Bharathi under their Kishori Vikas Yojana for class 10
girls. Its been estimated that about a 100+ girls were benefitted by this camp.

Upon reaching the venue, the girls as well as the Seva Bharathi organisers extended a very warm
welcome to us. . A brief introduction was given to us by the NGO about the educational camp and how
they had gathered experts in different subjects like English, Mathematics and Science to help these
class 10 girls clear their doubts and inhibitions regarding the first major academic test they were soon
to encounter. Apart from academics, motivational and career guidance classes had also been
organized, results of which were quite evident by the mannerisms of these young girls. A few girls
spoke about their experience at the camp and how it helped them and motivated all people present
to pick themselves up and reach for the moon. The confidence all of them showcased was awe
inspiring. Some of these girls also gave us a brief glimpse of what they had learnt and answered
questions asked by our volunteers regarding their studies promptly.

After a very brief Q&A with the girls, the floor was opened to interaction between our volunteers and
the girls. The girls, very enthusiastically asked questions and sought guidance from our volunteers
which was duly given with the same level of enthusiasm. Pretty much everyone was bustling with
vigour in that session.
A Lighter moment

We had quick lunch with the girls and a little more of energetic interaction between seva bharathi,
the girls and vaulters; the girls who had been staying at the school for the past five days packed and
left for their homes along with us vaulters who returned back from the venue feeling elated.

We had planned to spend about two hours at the camp but ended up spending 5 hours, all the while
riding on the waves of enthusiasm to interact with the wonderful girls and our eagerness to answer
them!
